"Yet the top 1% and 20% pay a greater share of taxes than they recieve in income."

OF COURSE they do. If you make $20,000 a year you can barely afford to survive as it is let alone pay taxes.

I know you are for smaller government and less spending. Guess what? So am I.

However, I'm not gullible enough to believe the Republicans when they tell me they are going to lower spending and shrink the government when EVERY Republican president in my lifetime has added to the debt and grown the federal government. I have no doubt that Romney would have done the same.

At least with Obama people are getting helped with the deficits vs Romney who would have grown the deficit by cutting taxes on the wealthy and unnecessarily adding to the defense budget.

you can say Dr. Effing Suess had a lot to do with it

Likewise you say could the president has almost total control over the budget and still be wrong.

Who is the one who shut down the goverenment and who's the one advocating Moon Bases?

Likewise Bill Clinton had own fiscally insane ideas. Considering the circumstances I'd prefer the govt to be shut down until the tax code and Federal register are gutted.

Every single Democrat in the last 50 years has reduced the budget deficit

My analysis: no. The ending deficit was always worse than the starting one. Even if I were to account for lag that would only make 2 of the last 5 Dem presidents that shrank the deficit.

"I'm not rich and I don't want higher taxes."

Have your taxes gone up one cent in the last four years? Do you make over $250,000? Because if not I haven't heard anything about your taxes going up.

I also resent the idea that the 47% (the takers) voted for Obama. That 47% includes people on medicare and social security, the seniors that voted overwhelmingly for Romney.

Crakr is in the "47%" and he has verbally fellated Romney the whole time.

I'm a "job creator" and I voted for Obama.

You guys are funny.

Rich people don't want higher taxes. They give their marching orders to FOX News / Talk Radio who run story after story after story about "death panels" and other absurdities. Then you guys come in here talking about how un-american it is.

Just wait. In 20 years Obamacare, or whatever it morphs into will be looked at the same way as public schools, social security, medicare, and other "socialist" programs.

And healthcare - you only deserve FREE healthcare, paid for by somebody else, if you take care of your body. You should only get free healthcare if you are a healthy weight and can run a mile in less than 8 minutes. I'm sorry, that's literally the fairest compromise on healthcare out there and it would hurt literally nobody. In fact, everyone would benefit.

Or, you know, you could just pay for it with taxes and have people covered. That way people pay for it and have access to it.

it's you lefties who now always are looking for one more government teat to suck on. It's simply the truth! Look at Greece! Look at it!!!!

Canada has many of these lefty "entitlements" like universal healthcare. Look at Canada! LOOK AT IT!!!11!!1 Oh, wait. We're doing awesome. That's a good point there, @papajon0s.

I think you guys missed the point. I'm not saying I believe anything I just wrote - I'm saying that many people do. You say that people believe anything that Fox news spews, but the same is largely true for CNN and the other side. It's all about perception. People perceive that Republicans are going to take away their stuff. So they vote liberal. Pretty simple. Most people will just believe what they want to believe, anyway. If you're a low-income person, it's easy to look down on the rich because of the PERCEPTION that they want to take away what little the poor have. And the higher-income people have the PERCEPTION that poor people have no work ethic and just want the government to take care of them. Both groups of people believe this, regardless of how true it is, and they vote accordingly.

Cajun247, you can say Dr. Effing Suess had a lot to do with it. Who is the one who shut down the goverenment and who's the one advocating Moon Bases? Yeah, that's what I thought. Plus, you didn't answer the effing question. Any Republicans done it? Any balanced the budget? Produce a surplus or even a reduced deficit?! Every single Democrat in the last 50 years has reduced the budget deficit. EVERY SINGLE ONE (except Obama--so far). So, please, just shut up about the GOP and their "small government" and "fiscal responsibility" BS. Bush took a budget surplus and turned it into the largest budget deficit in the history of the world! And you guys blame Obama?! Priceless. And those are FACTS, not FOXNews BS.

@Andrew155 - Well, if you don't like those two links then go and Google it yourself and read some of the others. Nothing shoddy about it, it's all there based on factual information and numbers.

EmagehtmaI, you watch too much FOX and are so full of their talking points and false information that it might be worthwhile to do an experiment on FOX viewers regarding mass hypnosis. It's clear that actual facts don't mean poo to you guys. Look at who votes liberal, which states, and how much they pay into the Federal government versus how much they take from the government in programs, etc. It's sad that you actually believe that poo you're re-spewing from someone else's head.

Now, try the same with a Democrat. Oh, it was Clinton

Gingrich had a lot to do with that success.

"Translated into English from an article in the Prague newspaper Prager Zeitungon:"

I Googled Prague newspaper Prager Zeitungon Obama. Surprise surprise the first entry in the list is Glenn Beck's The Blaze. Then I Googled just Prager Zeitungon. There is no such newspaper. There is a Prager Zeitung that has one article about Obama and lists his name once in the article so that couldn't be it. I have some moon rocks I could sell you if you want.

Hey, EmagehtmaI, it's cute that you say the Republican party is about smaller government and spending less money. Name ONE Republican president who's presided over a balanced budget, or reduced either the deficit or even the budget deficit in your lifetime. Name a single one in the last 50 years. Can't? Oh, gee. Sorry. Now, try the same with a Democrat. Oh, it was Clinton. Now shut the drat up about how the Republicans are all about less smaller government and less spending. drat, at least the Dems are honest about it.

[Continued from my post below]

Same goes with the Hispanic votes and immigration. Democrats have largely been for programs that allow illegals to obtain drivers licenses, get insurance, food stamps, etc. If you happen to be an American citizen that immigrated from another country - or were born here but have relatives that are here illegally - and your mother or father is here illegally, and the Democrats are saying "Yes, we'll give your family drivers licenses, let them obtain a job, give them health care and welfare if needed" and a Republican on the other side saying "Immigrants who are here illegally should not receive the same benefits of one who is here legally", who are you going to vote for? The one who wants to take away your family's way to make a living?

Plus, the fact that Obama received nearly 100% of the black vote didn't hurt any. But that's another story, haha.

I'd have to partially agree with him. Democrats are largely for bigger, government run programs such as welfare, "Obamacare", cell phones for seniors (even if that WAS a programs started by George Dubya), etc, etc. One of the party lines of the Republican party is smaller government, more self-sufficiency for the individual. Then you have a liberal-slanting media telling everyone that translates into food stamp cuts, welfare cuts, social security cuts, more restrictions on medicare, etc, people will start to believe it, regardless of whether it's true or not. They'll think "Welfare cuts? I can barely get by now! And they want to take away what little I get from the government already?!"

'I stand corrected, he didn't win by 2%, but by a grand 2.8%, with an even slimmer margin in most of the key swing states.'

Not really. Ohio (1.9%) and Florida (.8%) were pretty close, but Obama would have still won without those states. The next closest was Virginia (3%). All the other swing states (save North Carolina, Romney's sole swing state victory) were won by Obama with at least a 4% difference. That's not exactly a tossup.

Translated into English from an article in the Prague newspaper Prager Zeitungon:

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America.

Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president."

I stand corrected, he didn't win by 2%, but by a grand 2.8%, with an even slimmer margin in most of the key swing states. I suppose that's supposed to be a giant landslide these days. And that's with Johnson.

And whodat, all of those analyses are very shoddy. The difference between a red state and blue state is not very large. It could easily be all the red voters in the blue states taking the money, or all the blue people in the red states doing it. In all likelihood, it's both. But most importantly they're not some collective because 51% of them voted one way this election cycle

This is the real America.

"Obama is the most narcissistic, arrogant, elitist acting president we've had since FDR."

No, the false character of Obama Fox News has planted in your head is all of these things. The real Obama is quite the opposite. There is a reason you hate him but it doesn't reside in reality.

That must be why FDR only won four presidential elections.

Come on Mitt I think you can put a little more blame on yourself. You couldn't go a week without saying something incredibly stupid, as this last recorded call only emphasizes. Your rape talk buddies gave you a little push back but mostly it was you Mitt who took yourself down.
