HG: Sean Hannity has his dick so far up your ass that he works you like a puppet.

I don't even watch the news unless there is something urgent going on. As I said before I don't watch 'opinion shows' on the news channels either.

You're a weak troll that can't argue the points that I made, so you resort to diversion and insults, yet again.

You sir, are an assclown, a skid mark on society.

Before the elections I told people that there was something I just didn't trust about Romney. His post-election comments have proven my suspicions.

Republican party, in your current form, you're going extinct. You've already alienated yourselves from everyone but older white men and suburban women, chastising blaming and turning your back on the other "47%" (psst, it's actually a lot more than 47% or you would've won, huh?) ... just keep going further and further off the conservative right wing cliff until your only chances of ever winning another national election are 1)Democrats do something to alienate themselves even worse than you have, or 2)you realize that you have to come back at LEAST to the moderate right to get anyone but the aforementioned groups to vote for you.

"Let's say I just decided that I'm NOT going to take $1 million from you. Therefore, according to your logic, that's the same thing as me giving you $1 million."

Fair enough. How about this more accurate analogy:

You owe me a million dollars every year. You pay it to me year after year after year. Then one year I tell you that you don't have to give it to me. I may not be giving you a gift but it sure as hell feels like it huh?

@nubblins, this may be a difficult concept for your tiny little brain to grasp, but try to stay with me.

Let's say I just decided that I'm NOT going to take $1 million from you. Therefore, according to your logic, that's the same thing as me giving you $1 million. Now I'll just send the IRS a 1099 to document the transaction, and you get to figure out how to pay the taxes on your $1 million windfall.

You see, not taking something from someone is not the same thing as giving something to someone.

"Obama has played more rounds of Golf than GW Bush did in 8yrs., $50,000 a plate dinners with Hollywood movie stars, Avoids press conferences like the plague, covers up scandals worse than Nixon and is so stubborn he's about to drive this country off the Fiscal Cliff."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Sean Hannity has his dick so far up your ass that he works you like a puppet. This is brilliant. You just come on here and regurgitate talking points verbatim. Just like the Obama meeting with a pirate on talk like a pirate day bulls.hit. You are a joke.

FOX News talks more about Benghazi then they did about Sep 11th.

Perhaps Bush didn't play as much golf but he cut brush on his ranch weekly. Do some research on how vacation days stack up.

Yes HE won the election but HE is the one that needs to compromise on the fiscal cliff, not the Republicans.

Now, I'm not saying that government doesn't hold onto results it doesn't like sometimes and never let them be published, because it does and I abhor it. However, the research is still being done. Government is integral to science, end of story.

1)Lack of govt isn't going to do away with scientific research.

Effectively, yes it would. The only scientific research that would be done would be industry-driven, with little to no research on environmental concerns like wildlife, climate, limnology, etc. etc. If your research doesn't turn out positive results, it could be shut down or have its funding severely cut. That's not science. Science is based on the notion of scientists doing research, and reporting the findings good OR bad. Without government there would be no basic research done, as it doesn't necessarily have a tangible, profitable goal. Without basic research we would never have discovered stem cells, amongst many other discoveries, simply because industry would have said "Don't waste your time on the mouse bone marrow, focus on what makes us money."

OIC, because Republicans don't give "gifts" (tax breaks) to rich people, either....

Right, Romney.

@whodat

That timeline right there should say how insane our foreign policy has become. The military (I REFUSE to call it "defense") is another one of the biggest drivers of our debt. We waste money, we create more future enemies, we also create more targets for said enemies to attack. Yet the hawks see no problem with this?

Hell Reagan RAISED taxes and the deficit still exploded. So no, I'm not your typical Republitard. Before you say how these agencies do any good consider two things:
1)Lack of govt isn't going to do away with scientific research.
2)Social security and Medicare are the biggest drivers of the govt's debt.

@CrakrJak - When you say "...covers up scandals worse than Nixon... I'm assuming you mean the Benghazi embassy attack, right? Well, if that's what you're talking about then how about this?

All I hear from you right wing nutjobs is "Benghazi, wwwaaahhh, there was an attack on our embassy and no one cares! They covered it up, it's a conspiracy!" If that's the case let's investigate all the attacks that occurred while Dick Cheney was president.

In this case the parties "compromise" while the American people get shafted by the increasing burden of government.

The Republicans purposely obstructed pretty much anything that would get us out of debt

Funny, because according to Obama compromise is when Republicans support expanded govt and higher taxes for the sake of "national interests" if this quote is anything to go by:

As much as we might associate the GI Bill with Franklin Roosevelt, or Medicare with Lyndon Johnson, it was a Republican — Lincoln — who launched the Transcontinental Railroad, the National Academy of Sciences, land-grant colleges. It was a Republican — Eisenhower — who launched the Interstate Highway System and a new era of scientific research. It was Nixon who created the Environmental Protection Agency; Reagan who worked with Democrats to save Social Security—and who, by the way, raised taxes to help pay down an exploding deficit.

Golf is one of the greatest places for CEO's and people in leadership to close deals. I would be more concerned if my president didn't play golf.

Funny how you can't counter my actual point Cajun247. The Republicans purposely obstructed pretty much anything that would get us out of debt. There was no way they were going to get elected if Obama turned things around. You fiscal conservatives should be mad as hell at the Republicans in congress. But you're not. You gave them a pass because it would get rid of Obama. Too bad it backfired.

We would be at least $2T less in debt if the Republicans would have worked with Obama to come up with balanced budgets instead of doing everything they could to make sure he was a one term president

Yet Obama promised...
...5 days of commentary on bills cleared by congress before signing them.
...no lobbyists in his admin
...reduce the numbers of middle managers in the federal workforce
...negotiate healthcare reform on live TV.

Last one's a big reason why can't call myself liberal anymore.

The above list is just the tip of the iceberg, he's a total SCOAMF and the house of cards he's built is going to come crashing down around his oversize ears.

I'm quite certain there are people who make $20,000 intentionally turning down raises so they don't ever have to worry about making 5 times more and paying taxes on it.

Or they find legal means to avoid reporting their income like municipal bonds.

"Considering the circumstances I'd prefer the govt to be shut down until the tax code and Federal register are gutted."

Considering the circumstances? A huge part of the problem is the massive obstruction that was done by Republicans during Obama's first term. We would be at least $2T less in debt if the Republicans would have worked with Obama to come up with balanced budgets instead of doing everything they could to make sure he was a one term president. They put party over the country in a time when we needed them most.

If you make $20,000 a year you can barely afford to survive as it is let alone pay taxes.

At least with Obama people are getting helped with the deficits vs Romney who would have grown the deficit by cutting taxes on the wealthy and unnecessarily adding to the defense budget.

On one hand more laws and regulations don't really help anyone. They just make doing business more complicated. Obamacare is going to make healthcare more complicated. There are better ways to fix the EMTALA deficiency and the problem of third party payers driving up healthcare costs.

On the other hand, I didn't support Mitt Romney he did not provide any clarity in his plans. On top of which we do overspend on the military.
