Here's the problem with the media. Fox came along because they and other people on the right claimed the mainstream media had a liberal bias. If it's true that the mainstream media is biased to the left, then you'd think their solution would be to counter it by presenting accurate news. Instead they presented the rightwing view of things. This caused MSNBC to shift dramatically to the left to be a counter to Fox's right wing angle. They are both entertainment organizations.

It's not news if it's telling you how to think. News is about giving you the facts and letting you make up your mind based on being properly informed.

I'm just glad that opinion media doesn't really have a place in Canadian politics. It may have a modest slant one way or the other, but when I turn on my news I actually get news. That's something to hug your TV over.

'My friend had to stay with her mom for a couple months. Her mom had Fox News on 24/7. She actually hugged the TV one time when she came home. That is how much she missed Fox.'

My grandfather is the same way. He just sits around watching Fox and complaining about how "Obama cut his Medicare."

Indeed with Benghazi being the centerpiece of their nonsense. They've forced themselves to defend their attacks and they can't without sputtering. Their grandstanding on the issue has made them miss their own briefings about the information they claim they haven't been receiving. The republican party are the Keystone cops of politics and their minions are brainless zombies incapable of critical thought.

"Whether you watch FOX News, listen to Limbaugh, or read blogs like Breitbardt it doesn't matter. You regurgitate your misinformation from somewhere. It is the same coordinated propaganda machine. They all pass around the same stories. Just like when you came in here complaining about talk like a pirate day a COMPLETE non story that was ONLY carried by the total right wing machine."

It is pretty amazing how coordinated conservative opinion media is with their talking points. I find it sad. They are turning senior citizens into angry parrots who alienate themselves from their families. My friend had to stay with her mom for a couple months. Her mom had Fox News on 24/7. She actually hugged the TV one time when she came home. That is how much she missed Fox.

I give you links and you counter with your opinions without a single fact backed up. Of course.

"Everything Obama says is scripted, totally rehearsed, prearranged, carefully planned and gone over with a fine tooth comb."

It's amazing to me how privy you are to the inner workings of the Obama administration.

"It's always 'Blame Bush' with you or 'Bush did' this or that."

Holy f.uckballs. I didn't bring Bush up. YOU did. YOU said: "Obama has played more rounds of Golf than GW Bush did in 8yrs."

"it was President Obama that tweeted the damn 'pirate day' photo instead of meeting with Netanyahu"

Are you honestly telling me you think Obama posted that? You think the POTUS is updating his twitter feed? Some aid posted a joke and you, like a lot of the extreme right a.ssholes tried to make an issue of it.

They're gonna carve Obama's head on Mt McKinley. He is that historically transformative to America. As CJ makes abundantly clear, hating everything about the country that provides for you is not a winning strategy. They are bitter because they lack credibility.

HG: (Cont.) You regurgitate your misinformation from somewhere.

So you say, but you made an offensive claim and now are backpedaling away from it, as usual. And again no apology for your slur.

Bush took more vacation days then any president in history.

Which has NOTHING to do Obama's misfeasance now does it? It's always 'Blame Bush' with you or 'Bush did' this or that. Besides what you're counting as 'vacation days' was his time at his Texas Ranch, that had it's own situation room and was dubbed 'The Western White House' by the press.

Also, it was President Obama that tweeted the damn 'pirate day' photo instead of meeting with Netanyahu over the very important issue of Iran getting nukes.

So don't blame the press, Obama was the one that decided to post the photo.

HG: Until just the other day, Obama hadn't done a solo White House press conference in 253 days. Obama had attended only 18 solo press conferences at the White House before then. Also he takes very few questions from reporters.

Everything Obama says is scripted, totally rehearsed, prearranged, carefully planned and gone over with a fine tooth comb.

The number of times he sends his press secretary out to answer questions from the White House press corps, doesn't count as him having a White House 'press conference'.

Two words, Susan Rice.

I too have ran my own businesses, and ran my last boss' construction company, virtually on my own, until he ran it into the ground, via his drug abuse. I tutored students at my college, for free I might add. And I've volunteered for Special Olympics, The Red Cross, The Salvation Army and depression counseling.

Mitt Romney lost because he was a horrible nominee. The republican party propped up a tax dodger and the party faithful rallied behind that unpatriotic turd. What little credibility they had after the debacle that was George Bush has been completely washed away by their support for this fraud. He's nothing. His political career is over and his words are toxic. As a result the republican party is a rudderless ship without a captain.

Everyone wants their children to have it better than they did; except when it isn't convenient.
I didn't want either but Romney is an non-nice individual. There is more than enough proof to show that.

So? That's what politicians do. Romney had $50,000+ dinners with CEOs and WallStreet Moguls

"so stubborn he's about to drive this country off the Fiscal Cliff."

So the country re-elected him and he is the one that has to compromise? He is being stubborn? Not the republicans who went on TV the night of the election and basically said they would not compromise?

How's that?

"You sir, are an assclown, a skid mark on society."

I'm a father of three, I started and run my own successful business that employs people, I teach college classes, and I volunteer weekly doing art therapy with homeless kids.

You are a bitter, pathetic loser that sits on his ass living off the government.

I'M the skid mark. Hahahahaha. K.

"If you make $20,000 a year you can barely afford to survive as it is let alone pay taxes."

Cajun247: "Unfortunately such a scheme actually discourages people from moving into the higher brackets."

Sort of, yes. There are instances, but this requires you to have a job and work at least full time making substantially more than minimum wage to even be considered. No individual making 20k a year would turn down a 40k job because he had to pay taxes. You're simply not being realistic.

Thank you HolyGod for being intelligent. Seriously, oldollie, you really think your situational argument was valid? If a man made half a million in 2010, and paid 32% into taxes, and next year, he makes the same amount, in the same way, and the government said "You know what? you only have to pay 15% this year. Yeah, serious. Don't worry about it." That's not a "gift"? Are we not in a fiscal crisis? Does this really seem like the wise thing to do? Are you that... short sighted with such a strong passion for the rich to feel entitled to their hoarding and excessive, wasteful and lavish lifestyles? If you really want to point to finger on the concept of entitlement, I think that trophy goes to the rich, who think they deserve mansions and yachts and private jets while families are living in efficiency apartments living off ramen noodles and welfare checks. But hey, I'm sure the feel they deserve that luxury, thank you Uncle Sam.
