Thursday, November 15, 2012 1:52:22 PM If you read everyone's comments here in the same voice as Burroughs, you'll think anything anyone says is sound advice. |

Thursday, November 15, 2012 12:47:43 PM 1:27 KITTEH! Burroughs was a cat-lover! One of his last publications was a book about cats... Cats, guns, heroin, booze, other drugs... he was a true Bohemian! vv Dammit! I spelled "Junkie" wrongly... Oh, both spellings were used! Learn something new, eh? The Cat Inside (1986)
Burroughs is in the crowd here too! |

Thursday, November 15, 2012 12:35:43 PM @VirtualParty: Burroughs was very innovative & creative! He'd write poems that sounded like stories and stories that sounded like poems (on purpose! lolz!) just to be weird. Of course his dead-pan voice is uniquely well suited for him to read his own works... RiP, WSB! @patchouly: You didn't like the "hippy trippy" style music? I thought it suited the reading pretty well. @spani: Good point: GOTO YOUTUBE to read the transcript, eh? @Lordjim: I own all his books! I've even read half of them (pretty rare for me! mountains of un-read books fill my house). Junky is by far my favorite... THANK YOU @FancyLad (or @The Mods) for fixing up my crap-tacular description. AND adding the NSFW warning too! I'm so used to Burroughs' swearing, it doesn't even register... And IAB-BOT sent me a "duplicate submission" e-mail = LM-F-AO!! |

Thursday, November 15, 2012 12:08:21 PM Love it. I met Burroughs in the late seventies (well, I went to a reading and he signed a couple of books for me and imparted a little wisdom.)I have this album on cassette, but just labeled 'Burroughs' so I don't what it is. Thanks for this. |

Thursday, November 15, 2012 11:03:23 AM Listened, thought I understood. Then read the transcript on Youtube, and realised I misheard everything! But in my mishearing I came up with some pretty interesting advice e.g. "Beware of whores who say they don't walk funny." |

Thursday, November 15, 2012 10:22:20 AM Music was so annoying I couldn't get through it. I guess I'll have to pass on the advice. To be fair...I'm not a "young person" any more. |

Thursday, November 15, 2012 10:09:33 AM Sounded more like a poem. Interesting suggestions but I take them with a grain of salt. It's too easy to be so simple about the conclusions you arrive to about other people. |
