Wednesday, November 14, 2012 11:44:55 PM He forgot to match the depth of field. Observe the "blur" outside monitor and compare. But by "forgetting" to do this, he made the image on screen look better than the surrounding reality. It simply pops better like this. Neat trick. |

Wednesday, November 14, 2012 8:29:37 PM I wonder what exposure settings he used to get this to look so much like 2 layers in Photoshop and a mask? |

Wednesday, November 14, 2012 6:54:03 PM *facepalm* the cards prove nothing. this person took 2 pictures, one with the mac there, the other with no mac. the background surrounding the mac is taken from the photo which includes the mac. the background displayed on the screen is from the 2nd photo taken without the mac. clearly the 2nd photo had slightly higher exposure (explaining why the cards are a little whiter), and the person just didn't line it up properly when they SHOPPED this final product (which is why the cards carton doesn't line up). want more proof? take a picture of your own monitor and see if it comes out crystal clear like this one is. |

Wednesday, November 14, 2012 4:01:15 PM HolyGod mentioned it, but it bears repeating: screensaver =/= wallpaper. Otherwise, shopped or not, pretty cool. I'll go with shopped, because, as dogfeet says, the shadow of the screen frame is being cast on the keyboard, but no shadow for the monitor. |

Wednesday, November 14, 2012 3:49:07 PM I don't believe there has ever been a macbook pro with black keys but not a black screen frame. |

Wednesday, November 14, 2012 3:20:58 PM "going with not shopped. The pages of the book look brighter on the screen, and the deck of cards is off a little. Very possible this is real." Wow, you're not very bright. You only have to look at this picture for about 5 seconds for some obvious giveaways why it can't possibly be real. And how hard is to brighten an area of an image and offset it a little? |

Wednesday, November 14, 2012 3:20:09 PM Come on guys we all really know that the real answer is, there was this really stupid screensaver. The dude was like, "oh man I have all this crap!" He set it all up the in just the right way. Boom! Now he is making you educated monkeys fight over the logical banana |

Wednesday, November 14, 2012 2:46:17 PM also, there's light reflecting off of the keys around the "i" and the "o" suggesting a light is above and behind the mac, yet from the shadows it's clear that the light is well to the left. besides, shouldn't there be scanlines on the monitor or some other aberration? seems to me that pictures of monitors seldom come out very well. no there's not a legitimate thing about this photo. why are people falling for it? |

Wednesday, November 14, 2012 2:39:13 PM obvious trickery with this photo. the frame of the monitor is casting a shadow onto the keyboard. why would the monitor's frame alone be casting a shadow? also, -10 for being an apple. |

Wednesday, November 14, 2012 2:12:52 PM Do we REALLY not know the difference between a desktop wallpaper and a screen saver? Why are you guys saying it is shopped? I could easily do this. "-10 for being an apple" - person who has never used a mac |
