Collective Bargaining is as American as Apple Pie.
Oh, wait, apple pie was invented in England.

Well, you know what I mean.

What!? going on strike is not class warfare. It's the only way a group of workers can enact real change within their work environment. It boils down to the basic fact that the cost of living has grown quicker that wages have since the 70's.

I hate to say it but, wouldn't they just get fired and be replaced..If you can't afford your apartment or food..now you really won't be able to afford either because now you're jobless...Well, I think the smart thing to do here is if you do not like your job perhaps you need to keep this one until you find something better or work your self out of a situation you are not happy with...At least keep your job until you find something better so you are not completely struck without any money at all..

"also, walmart does its damnest to avoid every giving anyone benefits."

Bullpoo. WalMart offers everyone that works there BC.BS if you work over 30 hours a week.

THEN GET ANOTHER JOB!

Jesus. WalMart doesn't have bullpoo unions, so this won't work. They will go from making WalMart pay (Over $10), to broke and jobless.

"Because I can't afford my own apartment."

"Because the Walton Family is rich."

It all boils down to. "Because I have no marktable job skills, I'm going to push class warfare and hope it works."

So, basically, a person who's greatest skill is stocking shelves with peanut butter is going to 'strike', like Walmart won't be able to find a 15 year old sophomore who can figure out how to do that 'demanding' job.

before you trash talk these people, say they can work somewhere else, etc you should keep a couple things in mind.

1. YOU shop at walmart so that right there means you do not get to talk trash on the people that make walmart possible for YOU.

2. these people are the reason wal-mart is what it is, the world's largest company and they suould be treated well and paid accordingly.

my mom works a second job at walmart and they treat her and everyone else there like total crap.

she likes the job but the management are bullies and degrading to pretty much anyone below them.

also, walmart does its damnest to avoid every giving anyone benefits.
