Of course it makes sense. There are lectures given on various aspects of language, which will sometimes include taboo words. Lecture theatres shouldn't have the ridiculous and moronic censorship that IAB has.
Interestingly, it didn't used to be anywhere near as taboo. It was always a crude term, but in medieval times it was acceptable enough to use in official street names. Seriously - there are extant medieval official records of things which record street names (e.g. records of ownership of property for the purposes of taxation).

Not really comparable. "pintel" might be better in some ways, as that's also Old English.
I've been looking for a way to get the word 'pintel' into a post. :)
'prick' might be a better match in modern English, as that's more taboo than 'dick'. In England, anyway. |

This acronym is also used in the UK to describe certain members of the itinerant community, vis. Caravan Utilising Nomadic Travellers. |
