It's a bit of a cliche, but it's heartening to live in a country where the election loser is always grateful and well-wishing in defeat, even when we're at our most divided.

Romney's supporters are being much more respectful during this concession speech than McCain's 4 years ago.

Nobody booed Obama this time.

Enough of this, I'm out. Enjoy the hell this country will be for the next 4 years, you deserve it.

Once again, Crakrjak concedes defeat graciously.

Wanker.

Rove Melting down on Fox. Trump melting down on twitter.

Baal: I hope you enjoy living next to a nuclear armed Iran, because Obama has been a wuss on that subject.

I'm not 'rooting' for his failure. He was a failure to begin with and it's only going to get worse. His blaming of Bush was BS.

Who will be to blame now? All of you that didn't learn your lesson and voted for him again.

Or the healthcare initiative that was a shell of what Obama really wanted?

Obama compromised a lot. In fact, that's why liberals were down on him for a while. Or have we forgotten about the debt ceiling situation, in which Obama cut a deal that pissed of progressives?

Sigh, no. Four years is not a lame duck president.

I get that you're rather pessimistic right now, and I understand. I remember feeling this way when Bush won his re-election. I can sympathize.

In fact remember all the times Republicans told the public "Obama compromising shows how weak he is"?

So. Are you saying Obama is a strong leader, or that he didn't reach across the aisle? You cannot have it both ways Crakr.

You've tried as long as I've known you to call Obama a Wall Street supporting communist, and a warmongering isolationist.

You need to drop the multiple personality Obama and just at the very least decide which polar opposite you think he is.

"no willingness to work with republicans"

You mean republicans being not willing to work with him, right? o.o;

nubblins: Obama can't be elected a third time, this was his last election. With no control over the House, and no willingness to work with republicans, nothing will get done. Thus 'lame duck'.

"Obama said he'd work across the aisle, but he hasn't in the last 2 years"

He has pushed heritage foundation ideas the whole time.

Republicans haven't reached back. Republicans declared no compromise while Obama declared compromise.

Democrats offered more cuts than Republicans could think to ask for when it came to specifics.

Wake up Crakr. Stop lying to me. Stop lying to IAB. Stop lying to yourself.

I know you're upset right now, but this is your chance to join reality.

Craker

"Obama is going to be a lame duck for the next 4 years."

Come on man. He just got reelected and you are already rooting for his failure. How is that patriotic?

"Expect more gridlock"

Yes, because of people like you.

I think you're confusing the term 'lame duck' Crakr. Lame ducks are those who are at the end of their term and can't be re-elected, and already have had someone voted in to their seat. It lasts the period between election day and the day they leave office, not four years. :\

Just to randomly interject: My dad and I are almost polar opposites, including in politics. He's a pro life conservative anti-gay tea partier, etc. Even he was celebrating Obama's win because he didn't think Romney would do any good for this country and couldn't support him. It was shocking to see him happy about Obama for once... very shocking... but I'm sure he's not alone in his thoughts.

Why does everyone (CNN and FOX) keep saying "no president has ever been re-elected with unemployment above 7.1%"?

Reagan was re-elected with unemployment at 7.4%.

Baal: Obama is going to be a lame duck for the next 4 years. Republicans still control the House of Representatives. Obama said he'd work across the aisle, but he hasn't in the last 2 years, he won't in the next 4 either. Expect more gridlock and expect the investigations into Holder and the Benghazi debacle to continue.

Old Ollie have been living in a fantasy land for so long it is unreal.

Remember, your guys were talking about a Romney landslide. They told Nate silver his 96% chance Obama wins made him an ideologue.

Well it turns out he was right. Your guys were wrong. On the math. You tried to argue against raw numbers.

Now, seriously, run along. Bubble burst. You can't still believe the fantasy. All the so called "liberal media" tried to placate you by using kid gloves on you and telling you this race was "razor tight" because "Republicans say one thing, Democrats say another".

What the Democrats were saying though, was truth, and what the Republicans were saying they got from fictions they invented and put in empty chairs.

Obama is an American. Obama is a Christian. Obama is a moderate. You're the crazy ones.
