You have obstruction from the reps. You have a slow recovery.
But even the studies Romney cited (incorrectly) to show how good he'd be on jobs, on his website, say he will do worse than Obama's record over the last 4 years. |

HolyGod, most would not argue that it has been getting worse since 2009. However, people are arguing that the economic progress exists only because of 6 trillion of deficit spending under Obama (enough to fight World War 2 and then some, or enough for a few New Deals). And even with that, we still have a $hitty growth rate.
This is combined with the Bush deficit spending to get us out of this recession that totals to somewhere near 8 trillion. By 2016, we will have 22 trillion in debt. That's about a 14 trill increase between the both of them to get us out of this recession.
The best part? All the gains are artificially created by this false demand the government has created with 8 trill in deficit spending. It will all come crashing down. |

That's part of why I stopped coming here. Every graph, chart, poll, financial data, etc, met with a link to some blog, and outright denials of flat out facts.
Bringing facts down to the level of opinions is a sad sad state for the human mind to be in. I've even had to argue with people about how to use a dictionary. It's absurd. |

I have posted reams of charts, figures, hard data of the absolute freefall our economy was in on Jan 20 2009. How it continued to crash for another year and since has been getting better in almost EVERY way.
OldOllie, Crakr, 5Ctas, MeGrendel, DromEd, PapaJohn, and the rest couldn't care less. Facts have a well known liberal bias. |

That's why you mention Bush. The country was losing 750K jobs per month that Obama had to make up. It took him 4 years to fix Bush's 8. Under Obama he turned that around to a positive number every month.

Crakr: You're going to have a coronary if you keep up that degree of bitterness and cynicism for another 4 years. As HG has pointed out many times, the last 4 years have shown improvement in nearly every metric conceivable, albeit more slowly than we'd like (you blame Obama, we blame GOP obstruction). I respectfully suggest you try to be a bit more optimistic. I assure you, the next 4 years will not be disastrous, it's not the end of the world (assuming we survive 12/21/12, of course). Can you do that? Can you try to be a little less negative and caustic? |
