Tuesday, November 06, 2012 11:20:36 PM madest Yes. I also remember someone telling me they'd be laughing at my tears tonight. But gloating is never attractive. We know what was said. They know what was said. Let's move forward. |

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 11:16:44 PM I say nothing about Romney, I'm not here to defend him. Tax revenue in 2000 was about 2 trillion. Spending was 1.8 trillion. 2004 - Revenue: 1.8 trillion. Spending 2.2 trillion. 2008 - Revenue: 2.7 trillion. Spending 2.9 trillion 2012 - Revenue: 2.4 trillion. 3.8 trillion More tax money isn't needed to fund the endless increases. Life was good in the 90's and we were only spending 1.8 trillion. Now we need to spend more than double or it's total armageddon? And we are certainly spending more on this recession than in the past. Our debt-gdp ratio is flirting with its WW2 all time high - and it will then pass it - and we never even fought a global war like World War 2, nor did we get the few benefits of the WW2 spending (Gov't spending that caused a sharp recession in the 40's so it wasn't even that good). I don't understand, are you asserting that we are spending less than on the dot com bubble? I don't see it. |

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 11:16:37 PM Lillian "I saw your degree before you removed it AJ, I don't think it's anything to be ashamed of and I don't think IABers will think badly of you for it." I agree totally. I saw it before you edited it out. I would defend you if anyone tried to bash you for that. It is a completely respectable degree. However if you choose to keep it secret I will respect that. |

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 11:14:43 PM Actually, I saw it before you withdrew it AJ (not sure what shame there is in that?). Either way, I hope things pick up for you (politics aside), sincerely. On that note, I'm bailing out. Bed time. Love and bum-sex, Davy out. |

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 11:14:05 PM Good night all. I guess I will just have to pick up the pieces and figure everything out tomorrow. I wonder how long before my health insurance goes up again, for the third time in 2 years? I'll try to be nicer from now on. What's the point of being confrontational now, right? |

Certain jobs have been hit harder than others, but it's not really a result of having Obama for president. I'm sure you could easily trace the issue back to something that began before he took office, so to throw it all on him doesn't seem logical. |

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 11:12:03 PM It's a possibility HG. My wife is about to graduate with the same degree as well. We may just have to do that. Birmingham is a huge financial center. You'd think there would be opportunities here. |

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 11:09:37 PM (decided not to release degree, for whatever it is, I will be roasted) I've literally put in over 200 (private sector) applications in the last 3 years. No-one is hiring, or they are suspending regular hiring. Most told me to try again after the elections.

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 11:08:51 PM auburnjunky Have you ever thought of moving out of the south and moving where business and financial jobs are flourishing? I have a design degree, if I would have stayed in the midwest where i was born I would be broke right now, not a doubt in my mind. |

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 11:05:17 PM AJ "This has been the worst 4 years of my life (financially)." There are people that profited greatly during the great depression. There are people who lost everything during the Clinton economic boom. I feel for you and I hope things get better for you but picking one person's experience is anecdotal at best. Does all the data I have posted about how things have gotten better across the board mean nothing to you? I hope your life improves in the next 4 years. I just don't want 4 years of half this country rooting for failure like they did the last 4. |

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 11:04:53 PM I didn't even compare the two. I said he is a good motivational speaker. So is Tony Robbins. I meant the Soooooooooooooooooul Train. |

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 11:04:36 PM AJ, not a loaded question, but what's your degree in that's now worthless for another 4 years? Sincerely, just curious. |

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 11:03:12 PM You wouldn't recognize the truth if you choked on it, and I scrape better than you off the bottom of my shoe. Likening our President to Hitler is as far from truth as it is possible to get, so allow me to repeat myself. F.U.C.K. YOU! |

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 11:03:01 PM I hope and pray that The President, whoever that may be at any given time, will do his best to do the will of the people of this country. That's wrong now? |

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 11:00:34 PM AJ It is really disheartening. I can tell you in all honesty that if Romney would have won I would be on here saying how dissapointed I am but hoping I was wrong and hoping things can better. You and Crakr and 5Cats are already condemning the country and hoping for failure. It is disgusting. |
