Thursday, November 08, 2012 12:02:01 PM And thank God the Republicans kept the house! Can you imagine the debt in four years if we were back to all liberal idiocy in the government? Our best hope is total stagnation and the government does no further damage until BO is out of office. The only thing good about Obama being re-elcetd is that it is one day closer to when he is out of office and can do no further damage to what will be left of our once great country. |

Thursday, November 08, 2012 9:14:22 AM pquote]You say this like its a bad thing. It would actually be a good thing because then we wouldn't have a major party with social conservatism as part of its platform. |

Thursday, November 08, 2012 8:17:38 AM Republicans didn't 'loose' any groups, we've made gains into those groups Latinos: Mainstream GOP supported restrictionist immigration policies, so the Latino vote swung for Obama. Women: There was the obviously idiotic statements on rape, and partially to do with opposition to Gay Marriage. Women and especially single women steered towards Obama. Youth: Granted Obama didn't quite attract demographic like he did in '08, but he still got it decisively. Continued opposition to Gay marriage, drug legalization, and their hawkish attitude towards Iran and China. Independents overall didn't like Romney's hawkish stance on China and Iran. Fiscal conservatism? Not there. I don't know where you're seeing these "gains" quite frankly. |

Thursday, November 08, 2012 7:54:21 AM One of these days I hope you wake up out of your haze and realize you've been fed regurgitated pablum. -------------- This coming from a guy that predicted a Romney presidency. Way to deny your own reality Karl Rove. |

Thursday, November 08, 2012 7:37:33 AM They lost a huge amount of the women vote, and their percentage of latinos was way down too, not to mention the black vote. I have to wonder, is there any potential Republican candidate that could have beaten Obama and his dominating campaign? Perhaps Marco Rubio would have won over some of the latino vote as well as some of the women vote. The amount of liberal libel aimed at Romney was overwhelming. Indeed. So what the amount of conservative libel (and slander) levied against Obama. |

The amount of liberal libel aimed at Romney was overwhelming. The amount of scaremongering and deception going on in the media is to the point of pissing down people's backs and telling them it's raining. |

Thursday, November 08, 2012 7:26:02 AM madest: There is no such thing as "liberal" media. Maybe not from your view of the world, you're so far to the left that everything seems to the right. You believe everything the liberal media tells you is 'fact'. One of these days I hope you wake up out of your haze and realize you've been fed regurgitated pablum. |

Thursday, November 08, 2012 7:11:00 AM @Crakr: But having ethnically diverse employees =/= appealing to them. Even if they're not racist, and certainly there are many who aren't, the repubs have not appealed to those groups, and it showed in the election. They lost a huge amount of the women vote, and their percentage of latinos was way down too, not to mention the black vote. The party needs to "reboot" itself, and start putting forward some more moderate candidates. But I sense you'll take your lead from Fox News and say that the problem was that Romney wasn't conservative enough. |

Thursday, November 08, 2012 6:51:15 AM There is no such thing as "liberal" media. News is news, facts are facts. If you're incapable of filtering out opinion then you're simply too stupid for life. |

Thursday, November 08, 2012 6:47:43 AM Crakr, I am speaking purely on what I hear from their mouths. I actually listen to them quite often. I am still (for some reason) shocked by the stupid things that come out of their mouths. They talk more about his race, religion and "socialism" (race being the only true thing they talk about, but shouldn't matter) then they do policies/politics they disagree on. And crazy Rush yesterday was going on about "letting the gays" marry and somehow win votes from "blacks" so they (republicans) too can be elected next time. It's not his thought here- it's his use of words. Racist and politically incorrect. Turns me off. How many others are turned off? |

Wednesday, November 07, 2012 11:44:59 PM I no longer listen to Limbaugh, mainly because I don't listen to opinion pieces anymore from any source. I've developed the skills to research things for myself, just using that as an example. |

Wednesday, November 07, 2012 11:39:26 PM HalfPintRoo: You've bought into the liberal spin about conservatives, problem is it's all BS. Everyone of those people you mentioned have valued employees that are black, hispanic etc.. Bet you didn't know that, because your liberal overlords won't let you know and you're too lazy to investigate it for yourself. Perhaps you should pull yourself out from the liberal umbrella of sources you listen to and investigate for yourself. Decades ago I heard about this "Racist Bigot" named Limbaugh on am radio, they made him out to be akin to Hitler. I thought to myself, if this guy Limbaugh is so bad, how could he possibly ever be allowed on the radio and be popular too? So I actually listened to his show for a few days and found out the BS rumors weren't true at all. Then I found and read his first book and learned his call screener was black, his producer was jewish and a woman ran his sound-effects board. |

Wednesday, November 07, 2012 7:55:32 PM Honestly though, crakr, the GOP is going to become extinct if they don't start appealing to a different audience. They need to ditch the racist Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage and others trying to claim to be the model Republican. They are just turning people away from the party with such nonsense and the older white male wont be here forever. "The blacks" "The gays" all the comments on rape and women... They need to get a grip and pull themselves together. |

Wednesday, November 07, 2012 4:32:37 PM Soon CrakrJak you and your neocon/social conservative buds are going to find yourselves without a party when the GOP does on 180 on gay marriage, immigration, and adventurist foreign policy. Have some of this to go with your whine:

Wednesday, November 07, 2012 4:04:18 PM madest: You believe everything you're told to believe by your imaginary leaders. You believe everything you read in HuffPo, Daily KOS and Mother Jones. I hope you like your nose ring, it's not removable now. Let me know how that's all worked out for you when you get put on the truck, just before they put the bolt gun to your head.

Wednesday, November 07, 2012 3:06:41 PM For all the criticism I leveled at Obama during his first term (much of it deserved), you have to admit after looking at last night's election results that 2008 did deliver real change. Look at all the gay marriage measures that passed last night. Obama even made a point of mentioning gay rights during his victory speech. Four years ago, gay rights were not the acceptable issue they are today. The marijuana initiatives are an example of the changing nature of our country, even though the federal government still considers them illegal. Here's to hoping that changes soon. I've had enough of jailing people for such an innocuous crime. To me, this election appears to be a referendum on the hateful politics of the Right and the obscenity of their corporate donors. Not a single Karl Rove/Sheldon Adelson financed candidate won! That's incredible. |
