Thursday, November 08, 2012 12:03:14 AM thats the most absurd post. Republicans can not win so make up discrepancies. what a shame. the third world looked up to America for democracy, Honesty, and freedom and started a whole new history. thousands killed to have the real sense of democracy in voting yet people are skeptical to how elections are being run. anyway, Deal with it sucker, Obama WON. Cry hard |

Wednesday, November 07, 2012 9:34:56 AM I have never voted with one of these. I don't think they're very common. But in any regard, Obama won. |

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 11:01:53 PM In the Netherlands are they banned, not because of the mentioned reasons here. No, it's because it's possible to see what someone voted, and that's against the right for voters discretion. To see the vote of a voter you have to stand within 2 meter from the machine, with a laptop with special software and a receiving device. You won't attract attention at all this way... |

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 9:32:35 PM Voting machines should all be outlawed by constitutional amendment. Only paper ballots marked with permanent liquid ink should be allowed. You can use electronic scanners to count paper ballots as soon as they are cast, and report the results within 1 minute of the polls closing. Plus, they can be sorted and recounted -- by machine or by hand if necessary. This would also relieve most of lines at polling stations. All the poll workers have to do is verify your identity and hand you your ballot. Then you take it to a table and fill it out at your leisure without others having to wait on you. Voting machines only slow down the process and make it subject to fraud. |
