It was thuggery like this that gave women the vote. Decent men realized that this was wrong, beating and imprisoning women who only wanted to exercise a basic human right. Every time I vote, I remember that when my grandmothers were born, women did not yet have that right. By the time they were adults, they could vote, but their mothers had to wait until they were middle-aged to do so. |

Me: "I'm still up for another registration office go."
SBA: "You're trying to guilt me into this, aren't you?"

That's not Susan B Anthony. That's a picture of a police assault on a Suffragette protest in London in November 1910, a day known as Black Friday. Two women were killed, and several hundred injured. It caused major embarrasement for the PM Asquith and his home-secretary, Winston Churchill. |

@Runemang - There was a stunt by Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla on the Man Show where they took to the streets to "end women's suffrage". A depressing amount of people fell for it. I'm going to give GOTOGuy the benefit of the doubt and assume he was giving that a nod. |
