Tuesday, November 06, 2012 5:28:33 PM And we all know a state in the U.S has never ****** up a fireworks display. Oh, FFS, stop responding to criticism like an American. This was a complete balls up. Whether or not anybody else ever ballsed up in the same way is completely irrelevant. |

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 4:01:08 PM i think a long, drawn out firework display is boring as hell. i went to the rocks in sydney to watch the fireworks one year and found it boring and repetitive. just fire them all up in the quickest time possible, i want to be shocked and awed! |

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 12:46:08 PM Is it just me, or has this been happening a lot lately..? @Kain1: It could be more frequent since fireworks are much more "high-tech" which makes for more, rather than less, screw-ups! OR it could be that more are recorded, and thus make the news... @bataleon27 & @LordJim: All the YouTube videos I found carried today's date, so I don't think it's from a year ago... ... although the same thing could easily have happened before, with the company making good later! |

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 12:40:41 PM I suspected a repost, but... It Seems Legit! Someone's not getting paid for that display! |

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 12:36:59 PM I'm pretty sure this happened somewhere else last year, and the company in charge put on a second fire work display free of charge a month later. Might have been new year? Anyway, it's bound to happen some time when you rely on technology. |

Scotland takes the same approach with fireworks as it does with alcohol.

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 9:59:54 AM f*ck that, this is way better. Instead of an hour long boring as light show, you get one giant explosion that lasts a couple of minutes. Also, was that a tree on fire at the 52 second mark? |

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 9:57:00 AM Oban, last year. IIRC the contractors ran the display again (properly)a little while later. |
