Monday, November 05, 2012 4:02:54 AM I wonder what would have happend if poo-brain would have realised he was played and refuse to leave the bus before the bus-knight did. Or worse, poo-brain would have grabed his knife and stabbed bus-knight. I know it often only takes one man to make a difference and if everyone would stand up to poo-brains instead of flipping the bird in the safety of a driving bus it would all be well that ends well. But i am often confronted with poo-brains that behave smarter than the average poo and always seem to come out winning. |

Monday, November 05, 2012 1:27:24 AM @jendrian: Yikes! Many years ago I heard tales of such things during a visit to Vancouver, it seems to have gotten much worse! Must be those nasty-bad Conservatives, eh? (That's a joke, see: BC has had a long series of NDP, Liberal or Social Credit Provincial Gov'ts) I would have been more accurate to say "This is Manitoba!" but speaking to Americans (even smart ones like @OldOllie!) it's best to keep it simple. Anyhow, it doesn't get "cold" in Vancouver like it does here. |

Sunday, November 04, 2012 11:30:22 PM LOLZ! OldOllie: This is Canada - not in a million years will that happen. @5Cats: are you kidding me? The translink nazis have been doing that for years. They actually instituted their own bylaws for any fare-paid-zones and they hired a 100 million dollar/year abusive police service that was granted more liberties than the VPD when it comes to arrests and tickets (thanks to the bylaws). Then they went and installed a system of gates that will cost an estimated 25 million/year. What was all that SWAT-TSA move for? To prevent fare evaders from well, evading fares. I'm glad you're wondering if it's worth it, well... The most inflated estimates out fare evasion in 14 million/year. So the BC tax payer loses ~11 million/year just to say everybody is paying, all the while treating every paying passenger like a goddamn criminal: "where's your pass?!" And I've even been victim of racial slurs |

Sunday, November 04, 2012 10:02:34 PM @avail9988: Actually @OldOllie was refering to my story, which happens in Winnipeg, Canada, eh? But no worries mate! It gets cold here! I mean COLD! Letting streetpeople ride the bus to warm up isn't a bad thing at all. Provided they behave themselves... |

Sunday, November 04, 2012 4:40:35 PM Busses should transmit a radio signal and turn on a light on top tells the cops there's a freeloader on board. Then the cops can take him/her off at the next stop. LOLZ! OldOllie: This is Canada - not in a million years will that happen. The only time this was "a problem" was when a White "streetperson" tried it and the Driver kicked him off. The driver was suspended. @Listypoo: Good story! I'd have cussed the driver out, running makes me grumpy! |

Sunday, November 04, 2012 1:27:40 PM @OldOllie And who is going to pay for the cops doing that? Tax? You have so little crime and so many spare cops they can do that? Lucky you. |

he missed about 4 stops...but by this time all of us on the bottom floor of the bus were rooting for him, and he eventually overtook the bus and stood in line at the next stop. If it was me I'd have probably shouted at the driver or given him some reason to refuse me a seat, but this guy just got on with his ticket, said 'nice try' at the driver and sat down to a huge round of applause.

Sunday, November 04, 2012 12:53:25 PM Bus drivers can be tools too though. A few years ago whilst I was living in London I was waiting in line for the night bus...and it eventually came and I got on and sat in one of the front seats. A guy got on last and asked the driver how much it was for a ticket and the driver said 'you have to buy it outside from the machine'. So the guy (assuming the driver would wait a couple of seconds) got off the bus to buy his ticket from the machine and the driver just shut the doors and started off. The guy tried knocking on the door but was ignored by this driver. I didn't want to get involved but said to the driver 'that was a real c*nt trick to pull'. still no reaction from him...he just really didn't want to give this guy a ride I guess. Well we must have got about a mile up the road before I realised we were being chased down through the streets of London...by the guy on foot. he missed about 4 stops...but by this time all of us o |

Sunday, November 04, 2012 12:52:07 PM In my city, there's many street people of one particular ethnic minority. If they get on a bus and have no money? It's OK and the driver won't kick them off. Busses should transmit a radio signal and turn on a light on top tells the cops there's a freeloader on board. Then the cops can take him/her off at the next stop. |

Sunday, November 04, 2012 12:21:25 PM Nice story! In my city, there's many street people of one particular ethnic minority. If they get on a bus and have no money? It's OK and the driver won't kick them off. That's a good idea actually, since it helps avoid scenes like this one. Many of them are just trying to stay warm & quietly ride the bus back to their starting point. But on the other hand, intoxicated persons on the bus = not good for the children. (It takes quite a lot of swearing, shouting and vulgar behaviour to get them thrown off the bus, just thought I'd mention that too) |
