Monday, November 05, 2012 8:04:50 AM Seeing as Koi can get really expensive, I understand what he's saying. I lost 30+ Koi one year when it got so cold my pond froze solid. I now have a fish pump to keep it from freezing all the way. Let me put it another way, if it was his cats or dogs, no one would complain, but it's fish, so it's not cute and cuddly. Pet is a Pet is a Pet. |

Monday, November 05, 2012 3:36:42 AM Geraldo's a good man, guys. And really, the hurricane was no big deal. Just like Irene. When I lived in Florida, they weren't so much either. The people who die do dumb stuff like driving during the storm or not evacuating their beachfront home and hiding in its basement.....nearly all the deaths were preventable. It was a Cat 1, come on. |

Monday, November 05, 2012 1:05:37 AM He could just throw some road flares in the pond. It would bubble the water and warm it up. |

Sunday, November 04, 2012 11:39:53 PM FascismYeah: As far as I know Geraldo Rivera is not gay, He's been married five times and has several kids. Even if he was, your language is rather highly insulting, please tone it down. As far as Geraldo's fish, Why didn't he heed the warnings and make sure his pets were safe and would be cared for, before the storm? It's not like he doesn't have the money to do so. |

Sunday, November 04, 2012 6:36:05 PM I don't see the problem here. If it was a cat, dog, or even a bird people would get it. |

Sunday, November 04, 2012 3:23:59 PM I don't think it's douchy. Those fish are not cheap, and he clearly cares about them. He's not talking about saving a couch, or a car, but living creatures that are dependent on him. And it doesn't show what, if any, help he's giving to victims of the storm less well off than he is. |

Sunday, November 04, 2012 3:12:00 PM Some Kois are worth thousands of dollars! Leave that alone for a sec. They are pets he does not want them to die, that's douchy? Why? He didn't take a generator out of a hospital or anything. Hope he found one. |

Sunday, November 04, 2012 11:40:25 AM FYI, Gerry1of1, KOI are fresh water fish so if their pond gets filled with salt water, they die. But, it was kind of insensitive for Geraldo to put this. |

Sunday, November 04, 2012 10:53:53 AM I heard an interview with a wealthy New Yorker preparing for the storm. The interviewer asked him "so what steps are you and your friends taking to prepare?" He said, "well, we're just making sure we're well stocked up on wine, and we'll see what happens". I remember thinking, wow, first world problems... |

Sunday, November 04, 2012 10:39:43 AM People are using generators to charge their cell phones, so why is it wrong that he tries to get one to stop his fish from dying. |
