Why are they ever let at all? Their minds are not going to suddenly become normal because they went to prison for a few years. Venables was arrested in 2010 but the details couldn't be released in case his new identity got out, poor love. Jamie Bulger won't get a second chance though. The law is an ass. |

EXACTLY! I get very frustrated with the media and such pointing out "oh, they were goth" or "oh! They played VIDEO GAMES!" it isn't relevant at all. |

I remember that Jasmine case when it happened. I don't live far from Medicine Hat, and the whole province was lit up about it.
What's really messed up though is that Jasmine apparantly had sex with her 23 year old boyfriend at her house after she killed her family. |

Smutley, Dont be ridiculous. Just because you do not consider someone a child, does not mean you consider them an adult. I believe those in the teens [13or14 to 17] are at a really strange age where they are adult enough to know full well the consequences of all of their actions, but are not old enough to have the necessary experience in order to make some decisions. Its a odd time in growing up, but they are definitely not children anymore. |

On the other hand, to me there are many murderers who aren't worth locking up for more than 20 years. |
