Looks deeper than it is, estimate 100 meters (300 feet), each level being roughly 5 meters high.
On the bottom right side, you see a drilling machine. It is used to drill one hole beside the other, horizontally (now drilling) and vertically to "cut" out the blocs (estimated 5 m high, 1m wide and 10 m long. Must be some soft stones (limestone maybe)

I found the original picture posted on Pixdaus, a photo site. But there was no location information.
Found it by googling pictures of that exact size, this was the only one of that size with the word "quarry" associated with it. |

It looks more like limestone than granite, and there's probably an elevator, which would also scare the poo out of you, but it would be better than the stairs. |

it appears to be a granite query, I think that is the normal way up and down, seeing as they have a crane to get that slabs out, in guessing there are no roads. |
