Oklahoma
Rhode Island
South Dakota
Tennessee
Vermont
Washington
West Virginia
That is 17 states that have gotten no attention from a man who wants to be president of all 50, while he visited Ohio 36 times. |

How does this seem right to you? The electoral college is obsolete in every way. Give me one thing that it does better than determining the election by national popular vote alone?

@auburnjunky: So, what would you have the incumbent candidate's campaign do? The only other options are for the incumbent campaign to either pay the entire cost of operations of AF1 while on campaign flights - which is prohibitively expensive, given a nearly $200k/hour pricetag and thus would significantly hinder a sitting president's eligibility for the office - or to have the sitting POTUS take a commercial or charter jet other than AF1 - which would increase security risks considerably.
The 2007 updated rules for campaign reibursement may not go far enough, but it's the current law and it's what Obama is following. |
