... but clearly we don't need voter ID or anything that might even help a tiny bit to make elections more fair and honest. There's no voter fraud! It's all in your mind you disenfranchising Repugs! /end sarcasm.

This goes on all the time. It happens on both sides but is surely more prominent with Democrats.

This is the Chicago way and how the Obama administration operates. My father was an Alderman in Chicago. He used to tell me all the dirty tricks and scams they would use there to get votes. Voting multiple times, voting using dead people's names, paying people to vote for them, the list goes on and on.

Why do you think the Democrats fight so hard every time a state tries to pass laws requiring a photo ID to vote? It will seriously hinder their ability to manufacture votes!

mikelae: Project Veritas has released all their videos unedited, none of them are fake, apparently you didn't even watch this video in it's entirety.

These are the same people who made the fake videos about Acorn trying to help a pimp and prostitute get free housing. They where edited to be misleading. If you look at all of his videos this seems to be the case. Please release the entire video unedited, no voice over, no subtitles.

Actually, there is a federal law that allows the electoral college to vote for whom they choose, and they do not have to follow the popular vote of their state. So, I will throw my vote away by voting for a "third" party candidate who is worthy of serving this country as president, instead of the two douches running. My state is already committed to Mitt, its the swing states electoral votes that are still up for grabs. And it does not matter how you vote, the electoral college will decide. I vote we eliminate the electoral college. Popular vote all the way.

Plenty of people choose not to vote for either liar. That, of itself, is not apathy.

The question I ask is who really should care? If there really was 100 people out there not bothering to vote, I think if someone was willing to go as far as to impersonate 100 people just to get their apathetic names in the hat, then power to them. If I were told that should I not vote, my vote would be given to a voting person, you bet I'd man up and get my butt to the polls.

Really, it's not like your "democracy" isn't already giving power to the small percentage of people who actually go and vote anyways.

@HG

I disagree, they offered something he wanted and he took the bait. He was out there. He didn't stay at home, he was out there looking for his own political gain. They did not go into his home and lure him into political activity. It is exactly the same. He put himself out there, not in a chatroom, but in an office where people were welcome to go and talk to him.

If by "very narrow way" you mean that I am not prepared to say anything positive about a corrupt political wannabe then you are correct.

"This is exactly the same method as used in To Catch a Predator."

Um, no.

If this was like to catch a predator this guy would be on chat boards trying to find people to commit voter fraud and then chatting with them about how to do it and then agreeing to meet up.

If catch a predator was like this they would have a 12 yr old in a bikini go up to some guy and sit on his lap and start rubbing his d.ick asking if they could have sex while the guy said no for an hour and a half and then finally said IF they were going to have sex these are some things they'd have to do.

"Patrick is well liked and was a well-respected member of the campaign team. This incident, however, was clearly an error in judgment," said a statement from Moran for Congress. "The campaign has accepted Patrick's resignation, effective immediately."

"Well respected" =/= "dumb ass kid(s)"

"I know how I would respond but then I am not a power hungry, corrupt politician wannabe who will do anything to achieve their personal ends."

You are looking at this in a very narrow way.

And in my scenario it is your young son or daughter. They don't really know any better. They are dumb ass kids.

"Anyone with a little morals wouldn't get caught in the trap. They would say, "What you're suggesting is illegal now get out before I call the police.", not that they know a lawyer that can help."

That is easy to say but how do you know how people would respond in this situation?

Let me put it this way. Would you like something like this to happen to your son or daughter? Different scenario than the video here. But let's say James O'keefe's crew comes in and pushes and pushes and pushes your good son or daughter into finally giving in to what they want. And then your son or daughter is on the national news for doing something he/she really didn't go out to do in the first place. This kind of reporting turns good people into criminals. It pushes people into being criminals. Anyone with even a little bit of morals should see how bad coerced "investigative" reporting is.

As it stands: they seem to think that they are above the law, because they are above the law to all intents and purposes.

And to be fair, I would say that the politician involved was a stupid and dangerous waste of oxygen.

I would love to see some former leaders brought to trial for their outrageous crimes. It might help others to avoid similar actions.

You'll know what I am talking about when some scumbag liberal copies this technique and does this back to conservatives. I will be equally disgusted because coerced "investigative" reporting is bullsh*t. It turns good people into criminals with very little fault of their own.

You may not like him, but he too is getting scum off the streets. A corrupt (or even, if you prefer, corruptible ) politician is far more dangerous than a sexual predator. The former has the capacity to destroy millions of lives for their personal gain, the latter generally can only destroy one life at a time.

This person is ultimately responsible for his illegal actions. Politicians are devious people by nature, good job he wasn't tricked by someone who was trying to blackmail him.

You won't see how much they push and push because that is edited out. James O'keefe is really sh*t on the bottom of sh*t's shoe.

And what James O'keefe does is nothing like To Catch a Predator. On that show the pedophiles are actively searching for a victim. James O'keefe's scumbag technique is to coerce someone into breaking the law who normally wouldn't. They push and push and push until the people are like, fine if you will just go away here. Not defending the people. They should be smarter than that but still the techniques are pure scum.
