@TheGuySmiley - Alien & Prometheus have nothing to do with this. He's involved in it because he didn't want all the hardcore Evil Dead fans to get pissed and put a price on his head for them f*cking it up. Back in August Raimi won in court to retain the rights to the name because another film studio misinterpreted one of his quotes about the film series. They thought it was open season on the name so they got the ball rolling on what they were going to call "Evil Dead 4." He did that because they didn't want someone coming in and f*cking it up for the fans.

Lets look at alien, ridley scott made it, and then just this year he released prometneus... it doesn't matter who makes it. there's too many messed up people in the nation who just are in it for money, they don't care about the movie, just as long as they hype it right, get enough money to cover costs and make more.. the last thing they care about is if the viewer likes it. Shows how much greed has destroyed the nation. |

They need an evil dead 4 with Bruce Campbell, not a remake of the first one! And it was the second one that really made it a cult classic. The first was okay, but the second re-wrote the first and made it perfect. Why mess with perfection? |

It's going to take a whole hell of a lot more than shock schlock to convince me to see this.
"Hey, how can we make money of a beloved franchise?"
"Easy, use the same scenes, put a girl in place of the original main character and call it a fresh new remake."
