I've come to the conclusion [in my opinion] that "We" are just the thoughts and emotions found in the neurons of prefrontal cortex and hippocampus.

Just for clarification, if I (assuming it were possible) were to extract a hippocampus of one person and transfer it to another person who had a destroyed hippocampus, would that make that person 2 people then?

Neurobiology is so much fun. Making a headless frog kick its legs so hard that it actually leaped forward, freaking out the girls in the group shriek was hilarious.

Also, his philosophical question of what is "I" was a great discussion, in both Neurobiology and Psychology. I've come to the conclusion [in my opinion] that "We" are just the thoughts and emotions found in the neurons of prefrontal cortex and hippocampus.

Welcome to 1st year neurophysiology. Groups of neurons forming ganglia are very common in lower animals, particularly invertebrates. Ours is just so advanced that we have separate divisions to run different bodily processes. Action potentials also travel much faster in the retina and cerebral cortex due to there being electrical synapses in addition to chemical synapses.
