Saturday, January 29, 2005 1:50:23 PM uh, kathaclysm, calm down, geez, I was reiteratingwhat the thing said in simpler terms, and obviously didn't do a very good job at that. besides I was trying to be funny....and where are you getting all this stuff about talent and skill? sheesh put one thing up here about women and most all of them go nuts, now I hold women with more respect than I do most men, but its feminism and stuff like this that ticks me off. and why is getting laid so important?? |

Thursday, January 27, 2005 1:45:24 PM Ur...smig... who's to say what's "stupid" and what's "smart"... social skills and spacial skills are both skills. What you're saying is almost like saying someone who can't sing is stupid... some people are born with a talent/skill, some ppl are lacking the genes. Social skills are very important... many very "smart" men will never get laid cuz they lack them. |

Wednesday, January 26, 2005 11:48:28 PM so, in short men think about smarter things, but in a stupid way, and women think of stupider(well less important at least) things, but in a smarter way ow, my head hurts.... |

Wednesday, January 26, 2005 4:38:47 PM cornell university recently did a similar study to this, and it found that even in women that were "mathematically inclined" less effort is required to study or comprehend humanity studies (such as english). |

Wednesday, January 26, 2005 4:04:18 PM "Research has also found that in childhood, girls' vocabulary develops more quickly and that in later life women can speak 20,000 to 25,000 words a day compared to a man's 7000 to 10,000."Ain't that the truth. |

Wednesday, January 26, 2005 3:44:13 PM Very true too pankate... whole nature/nurture debate. Girls get talked to more, boys are told to go play with trucks. I'm proud to be the little girl who never owned a barbie... but all my legos are seperated and labled by set. |

Wednesday, January 26, 2005 3:00:10 PM Maybe men use more "gray matter" and think more mathematically because when they are young, they are more encouraged to do math than women. And likewise women might be more encouraged to learn vocab than men. |

Wednesday, January 26, 2005 2:46:00 PM I so don't fit in with that lol. I can read maps, but I know blokes who can't though, so it's more a generalisation. Also, has anyone though that maybe men just read maps more and have more pratice? |

Wednesday, January 26, 2005 12:27:08 PM Oh... I can see ppl arguing about this already... Of course this is something that varies from person to person, and their are individual extreems within the overlaping bell curves of brain activity. I happen to be one of those women who can read a map as well as a book.... but I'm horrible at remembering street names when I'm giving directions to someone else. |
