Monday, October 22, 2012 5:01:05 AM I love Shih Tzus. They are usually extremely stupid, I mean like borderline retarded for dogs - so it's no surprise one somehow wound up stranded like that, but man are they friendly and fun to play with. I have one and he is so much fun! (for a small dog.) |

Monday, October 22, 2012 12:16:53 AM Seriously, MacGuffin? Have you never been in contact with a scared animal before? They aren't humans and can't logically deduce that this person they've never met before is trying to save them. Dogs are very trusting and if he /was/ the dog's owner he wouldn't be treating him like a stranger. |

Sunday, October 21, 2012 10:39:45 PM @MacGuffin The dog clearly doesn't trust him because it is cold and scared and doesn't know who the eff the guy is. Totally rehearsed. Maybe you should sick PETA on him, as he was clearly endangering the life of this random puppy to make himself a hero. Wait, who is this guy? Oh right, he doesn't mention himself at all in the video. I think I must've just fed a troll. |

Sunday, October 21, 2012 5:23:34 PM Macguffin the blogspot is not "self publicised" as it is clearly not the paddle boarder guy's own blogspot, it's just a blog about news articles, and also includes the story about the guy blowing out candles with his hands. So shove that up yer arse too. With your own head up there, it's getting a bit crowded. Let us know when you need some help unblocking it. |

Sunday, October 21, 2012 5:05:57 PM The people in the pub called him Pebbles just for something to call him, then it turns out his name is Bam Bam *twilight zone music* |

Sunday, October 21, 2012 4:35:51 PM @smutleybutt: looks like blackcatseye didn't have too much trouble finding a self-publicised image of the 'hero' in this story. I wouldn't be arrogant enough to say I'm definitely right on this, it's just my gut feel. But blackcatseye's link only adds to my suspicions. So take your sarcasm, and shove it up your arse. |

Sunday, October 21, 2012 3:46:16 PM @MacGuffin I can see what you mean. Especially the way he keeps showing his face and mentioning his name, you know so we would know who he was, to get the attention of being a hero. /sarcasm/ The guy saved a dog. Why so bitter? |

Sunday, October 21, 2012 3:45:11 PM No it's all true the guy's name was Charlie Head, he was paddling from Cornwall to London in training for a cross Atlantic trip, and found the dog near Herne Bay off the coast of Kent. He took him ashore and reported it, and the local dog warden found out the little guy's name is Bam Bam. Charlie says he's keeping him if the owner doesn't come forward. |

Sunday, October 21, 2012 3:20:58 PM I don't know what it is about that video, but something about it screams "bullsh*t" to me. Perhaps it's the fact that the narrator sounds so rehearsed, or maybe it's the fact that the dog clearly doesn't trust him and isn't as happy to be "rescued" as one might expect, but this guy just seems 'wrong' to me. I'm suspicious that he put that dog there purely to make a video in which he plays the hero. :| |
