crakr.

Yes opinions and blogs to counter your worthless argument. If you actually look at the plan your self, you will see the money is still going to where it should be, health care for those same people who would have benefited from it under medicare/aid.

Hell yeah cut payments to the insurers and for-profit hospitals. Fark those guys. They're going to take it and like it, or they wont get the business. Collective bargaining baby.

"you're wrong!"
"Nuh-uh, YOU'RE wrong!"
"Psh! you the one who's wrong, and STUPID!"
"Gah, yeah right, YOU'RE stupid and wrong."

how bout this... how about we all wake up and realize that both sides are playing us for fools?

here's the TRUTH: you're all wrong. if you support EITHER ONE of these ass clowns YOU ARE THE PROBLEM.

markust: Bullsh|t sir! The house republicans passed budgets and Harry Reid in the senate would not let them even come up for a vote. Harry Reid (D) of Nevada, has been the stumbling block here. Reid has been blocking everything the republicans have tried to do since 2010.

"Still claiming Bush is responsible for the ONLY BUDGET OBAMA EVER SIGNED in 2009? Pa-thetic!"

Funny how the Republicans filibustered all the other budgets except the one Bush submitted. A budget that was projected to produce a deficit of $1.2 T. Where was the outrage from the conservatives then?

"You conveniently omit the *FACT* that Obama and the Democrats tacked the $800 billion stimulus onto the FY 2009 budget *AFTER* Bush had left office."

And you conveniently omit the fact that only $108 Billion of the stimulous was spent during FY 2009. In January 2009 the CBO estimated that the 2009 FY deficit (Oct 2008 through Sep 2009) would be $1.2 T. It ended up to be $1.4 T so yes the stimulus added $108 Billion to an already outrageous deficit, but it did not add $800 Billion like you are trying to trick people into thinking.

...the Federal Fiscal budget of the last president does extend into September of the new presidents first year.

"Also you have a long history (here at IAB) of cherry-picking. You just move the goalposts to suit your opinion on a regular basis. Still claiming Bush is responsible for the ONLY BUDGET OBAMA EVER SIGNED in 2009? Pa-thetic!"

Are you f*cking kidding me. I remember a post a while back where HolyGod was able to get through that thick head of yours and you admitted he was right that the Federal Fiscal budget of the last president does extend into September of the new presidents first year. The fereral budget is from October to September. Link

Hahaha! All the butt-hurting liberals are scrambling about for any shred of Hope (& Change one presumes)!!!

Just like the Pink Floyd song: "Forward he cried/from the rear/ and the front rank died..."

@HG: They provided 5 indicators, you be wrong son.

Also you have a long history (here at IAB) of cherry-picking. You just move the goalposts to suit your opinion on a regular basis. Still claiming Bush is responsible for the ONLY BUDGET OBAMA EVER SIGNED in 2009? Pa-thetic!

HG: So you point to two opinion pieces and a blog?

Pretty weak, but of note is the 'Rolls back payments to hospitals and insurers.' part. Do you really understand what that means?

That means the government says, "We aren't going to pay our bills to hospitals or insurers". That's right, the government is just going to bounce that check. Do you know what the repercussions of that will do? That will result in less quality of care for medicare patients.

Nearly all the polls have oversampled Dems even more than the 2008 turnout, which is not likely to be repeated. They are being purposefully deceitful for a reason -- to help with Obama's fundraising and depress Romney's. Big contributors want to back the winner so they can benefit from the graft and kickbacks afterwards. (Remember Solyndra? $500K in contributions got them $500M in loan guarantees. That's a 1000:1 payoff.) But if you think a candidate is going to lose, there's no reason to contribute to his campaign.

However, in the final weeks, when it's too late for campaign bucks to make a difference, the polls are starting to move toward Romney. Do you seriously think all these people are changing their minds now? Have any of you? They want to call the race as accurately as possible on election day to bolster their credibility. They will claim that they were right all along, and that you were the ones that changed.

Yeah, sure.

On October 20, the CBS-New York Times poll has Carter beating Reagan by 43-41. On October 25, ABC-Harris has Reagan ahead by three points at 45-42. However, Gallup reports the next day that Carter is ahead 45-42. On October 27, CBS-New York Times has Carter ahead 42-39. On October 30, the Washington Post has Carter ahead by 43-39. The CBS-New York Times poll of November 1, 1980 shows some Reagan movement as the race reaches the wire, with the governor inching ahead 44-43, well within the margin of error. Gallup has Reagan up by three points that day. Finally, on election eve, November 3, 1980, the New York Times headlines this story by Adam Clymer: "Reagan and Carter Stand Nearly Even in Last Polls."

The actual vote took place on November 4. Ronald Reagan received 51 percent of the vote, Carter a paltry 41 percent. It was landslide.

And yet we still give credence to polls. When will we ever learn?

Out of the swing states I think Romney will take Colorado, Florida, North Carolina and Virginia. Obama will take New Hampshire, Ohio, Iowa, Wisconsin and the Latinos will give him Nevada. Although Obama could take Virginia - unemployment is low and the African-American vote could be strong.

It is absolutely amazing to me that anyone who has been on disability since the Bush administration feels he has the right to lecture other people on government benefits, not because I don't think you have a right to be on said benefits, but because you of all people ought to know what it's like to need them.

"Romney has made no such proposal."

No s.hit. He hasn't made much of a proposal at all. He is going to cut taxes by $5T and add $2T to defense. There would have to be a whole lot of cuts for him to pay for that, let alone REDUCE the debt. Cutting PBS and Obamacare certainly aren't going to do it. He hasn't said anything else that I've heard.

"However Obama is taking 716 Billion dollars away from Medicare to pay for Obamacare, that does concern me."

This is a talking point that has been repeated ad nauseum. Read up.

"It’s worth noting that there’s one area these cuts don’t touch: Medicare benefits. The Affordable Care Act rolls back payment rates for hospitals and insurers. It does not, however, change the basket of benefits that patients have access to"

"There was never any private account for me to 'use up'. Apparently you have no idea how the system works."

I know that. I mean you have used up more than you have contributed. That's all. I mean someone who went on short term disability could claim they had paid into the system and now they were utilizing their share. You have used WAY more than your share.

I've never taken any disability, unemployment, or welfare from the government. However I'm glad it is there for people like you.

What if one of the cuts Romney wanted to make was cutting disability would you still vote for him?

HG: Most of the people applying for disability now have exhausted their unemployment and turn to it for financial relief. I applied before the economic downturn and because of injury, not from the loss of an unemployment check.

I haven't 'railed against' SS or disability.

Besides, what I contributed was spent on those before me. There was never any private account for me to 'use up'.

Apparently you have no idea how the system works.

"That's another swing and a miss for you."

Huh? That proves my point. You got on disability under Bush. So is that Bush's fault? HOW is more people being disabled the president's fault?

So you've been on disability for over 4 years? And you rail against government programs? Come on man. That is incredible hypocrisy. You used up what you contributed a LONG time ago and have since been living off the government teat.

It is Obama's fault people are disabled? Is it Obama's fault you are disabled?

Due to the broad nature of the program, people who have an eligible "disability" apply even though they are otherwise capable of holding a job.
