I'm pretty sure the caption was meant to be sarcastic. The only real way to "find a cure" is really to find a treatment that works on all cancer cells. With the many different etiologies of cancer, it's not possible to "vaccinate" a person for cancer. So technically there is money in a "cure." |

They wont find a cure, there's no money to be made in cures. Only 20 cents of every dollar you donate to the pink ribbon goes to research. Komen "promotes" a cure, yet spends over 50% of their donations on awareness and screening. Where's the "cure" in that? And don't even get me started on where they send their money. Planned Parenthood? What does that have to do with cancer?? |
