Tuesday, October 16, 2012 9:38:31 AM It would better illustrate the two parties if the second one said, "I'll give 6 of YOUR dollars to Barak Obama's campaign." |

Tuesday, October 16, 2012 5:49:02 AM "...I wonder if that Marine knows that his front yard is considered public grounds..." ~jamie76 Um... no it's not. Only from the sidewalk to the street. From the sidewalk to your house is private property. |

Monday, October 15, 2012 11:48:20 PM perfect illustration in the difference on mentality between the cons and dems. One of them...pretty clear who, is smarter and less prone to homicide than the other. btw, I wonder if that Marine knows that his front yard is considered public grounds and as such you cannot shoot someone for being on your lawn...probably not and even if he did, right wongers only follow laws they happen to like. |

Monday, October 15, 2012 7:44:57 PM The top sign is from Ohio, where it is illegal to walk on to your lawn with a loaded gun to threaten someone, even if they are stealing, they have to actually break into your home before you can even pull a gun on them |

Monday, October 15, 2012 5:24:41 PM im surprised that the right is not saying this is staged by a lefty. instead they attack the grammar. whatever it takes to stay positive i guess. and yes this is the average type. also surprised not to see some sort of almost racist innuendo about the person they assume took it. |

Monday, October 15, 2012 4:41:29 PM Most likely the Marines house has a mortgage on it, so technically, it is not HIS property. And I really feel bad that this Marine does NOT understand the 2nd amendment. I dont see anywhere in that Amendment that allows you to shoot someone for coming on what you call "your property." |

Monday, October 15, 2012 4:19:30 PM @Duckinfuh No disrespect to the Marine Corps. What I meant was, as soon as some guy wants to threaten somebody, he automatically becomes a Marine, as if that's supposed to be the clincher. Sort of like the old saying, "There were half a million people at Woodstock, yet 5 million claim they were there". |

Monday, October 15, 2012 3:32:43 PM Interesting I was expecting some consistency in the reactions among liberals and conservatives. Really enforces my faith in humanity. |

Monday, October 15, 2012 3:10:23 PM McGovern, they're stolen all the time. And they cost $15 at cafe press if you want to get a specialized one. But I do realize you can get them for free at bigger cities with campaign offices. |

Monday, October 15, 2012 3:08:13 PM Mine is a Navy Vet one, printed up, that states that I buy a new Obama sign every time mine is stolen. Sadly, once I put that one up, no one has taken it. I'd had three regular Obama signs stolen previously. I think it's the Navy vet part--sort of stops them in their tracks, I guess? And I don't own a gun, either. |

Monday, October 15, 2012 3:06:01 PM @Magickrat - I also am a US Marine Veteran. I do have a concealed carry permit in NY State and own guns, mostly for target practice and to blow off steam. I don't support Romney/Ryan because... well, we're all adults here so let's be honest, they're both full of sh*t. That being said, go f*ck yourself. |

Monday, October 15, 2012 2:39:57 PM @Magickrat For the record: I'm a former Marine that does not own a gun, nor do I support Romney. |

Monday, October 15, 2012 1:34:11 PM @Zeegrr60 To be fair, the Republicans ( and the godly) here on IAB tend to advocate violence rather more than others, but we can't be sure they are violent themselves. I generally argue against violent solutions, but that doesn't mean I'm not capable of it. Just because they like to brag about kicking ass and firearms doesn't mean they are not loveable pussycats at heart. And just because I'm smart and socialist (and, I hope, plausible) doesn't mean I'm trustworthy. Although obviously I am.

Monday, October 15, 2012 1:33:05 PM Threatening, in a round about way, to shoot someone for stepping a few feet onto their property to steal a sign sounds like a perfectly rational response to the situation. |

Monday, October 15, 2012 1:22:48 PM @Andrew155 - The point of something like this is to give examples of the extreme on either end of the political spectrum. |

Monday, October 15, 2012 1:16:51 PM I am never a fan of people picking and choosing two random pictures from the internet to contrast something. I'm an even less fan of it when somebody says, "They should use this picture to explain what the average member of both parties are like". You know who you are. However, I give props to the Romney guy for the semicolon and normal way of writing. But Obama guy, you're all over the place and don't use a comma I would strongly advise you to use. If I were some vandalizer, the Obama supporter's sign would probably compel me to steal more because I would be depleting the person of 6 dollars each time. Obama will spend those 6 dollars on 1% of a TV ad that will influence nobody. Good form. |
