Gritty reboots of fairy tales and old stories have been done to death. Most were sufficiently dark on their own, anyway.
I'd love to see some old stories done closer to the source material. We've never had a legit Pinocchio done in film, for instance. Ever. Disney didn't do too bad, but they still changed a lot. |
