Sunday, October 14, 2012 4:25:20 PM After reading the article, another question is raised. Why are the police JUST NOW investigating? I am going to assume that Amanda kept her bullying silent? Didn't want to press charges against anyone? I mean, why wouldn't the police have doing this while she was being bullied instead of after? |

Sunday, October 14, 2012 4:20:10 PM I just keep wondering why charges weren't pressed against the guy who started all this, the one who was stalking her. I mean, is that who she was referring to when she said she didn't want to press charges, just move on? Or was that about the girl who hit her? |

Saturday, October 13, 2012 3:13:49 PM Some follow up on the news story. Yes it is real Malikymoo. Its an uproar in Canada atm. And its definitely serious. Its easy to google something to find out if it is real or not instead of ignorantly calling it fake. Link! |

Saturday, October 13, 2012 1:20:11 PM This world, sometimes I think it really needs to start a-new. I have been though the similar torture that this beautiful girl has been put though, self harming.. the works. In honesty to whoever is being bullied out there involve everyone that you know who loves you. Your family, teachers and even the police force if you have to. They will help. The power is in your hands. DO NOT tolerate it, because if you do it will harm you in more ways than you can imagine. SAY NO to Bullies and Bulling. Its a sad shame to see this happen to someone so young, I hope these people burn for this. - KFG out. |

Saturday, October 13, 2012 1:07:05 AM well that was really depressing. the guy who blackmailed her is a real POS SOB. actually, i'm surprised at the number of girls who do flash or do more on camera... that poo is out there forever! it seems crazy. there are a lot of aholes out there that will try take advantage of it. then there is the whole dynamic of who gets bullied and who doesn't. when i was around her age, it seemed some people somehow just got stuck in the "bullied zone", and the bullies would compete and try to outdo each other. it could be a vicious cycle. two things that i've seen work to break the cycle, one of the bully's influential friends steps up and stop it. the other is the one getting bullied punches the #1 bully squarely on the nose and if possible beats him/her real good for everyone to see/hear. not the best solution, but it works.

Saturday, October 13, 2012 12:37:44 AM With every fiber of my being, I hope the piece of sh*t that blackmailed her gets murdered in a horrendously painful way or kills himself in a horrendously painful way. If she were my daughter, nothing in this entire goddamn stinkhole of a world would stop me from peeling that mans flesh from his bones. |

Friday, October 12, 2012 9:24:54 PM I am disappointed in a lot of you who I have been conversing with (through i-a-b) for many years. It saddens me that you have such little empathy and love for a child. tsk tsk tsk DISAPPOINTED |

Friday, October 12, 2012 4:12:11 PM Well this is depressing. It's sad enough to see this horrible story, but almost worse is listening to some of the comments about it; specifically from older folks who think they know better. It pains me because all her bad decisions were made out of a need every girl her age has: A need to feel loved. She wasn't getting it from her parents, and the only places she found it were from boys who only wanted her body. That's all she wanted, she just needed to be loved. I feel truly bad for her, but not nearly as much as I pity you people. Especially you, Patch. At least zombunny gets it. |

Friday, October 12, 2012 3:20:49 PM I wouldn't poke fun at anyone desperate enough to take their own lives, and kids have always been mean well before the internet existed. However, I think people are inappropriately focusing on one small aspect of this particular case (the internet aspect). The article says: "In the video, Todd describes how she was bullied online and at school, about her struggles with drugs and alcohol and harming herself." I think that "struggles with drugs and alcohol" part, and the role it played in her decision-making, has to be considered here too. |

Friday, October 12, 2012 3:05:58 PM im starting to hate i-am-bored. i mean, on 4chan, people post hate-things for fun. there's always a running joke behind every post and if you know about it, it's funny. no one knows anyone and it's a relaxed scene and no one gets hurt... but iab has profiles and the things posted cant be taken as lightly. here you need to stand for what you write, yet you guys write about a girl bullied to death like it's a trivial thing that might aswell be completely made-up you guys are worse than /b/ seriously, shame on you guys. you disgust me sometimes. |

Friday, October 12, 2012 2:44:25 PM Wow. In news articles, her bullies were saying things like: "I hope she's dead!?" is the new generation that desensitized to people? It kills me to see such utter evil cruelty today. Nobody deserves that. I don't care if she flashed anything, she was targeted, plain and simple. |

Friday, October 12, 2012 2:07:46 PM I'm sorry but at 15 I would've had the sense not to flash online just because I was told to. And as for being bullied, just switch the f*****g thing off! It's not rocket science. |

Friday, October 12, 2012 1:20:19 PM DrProfessor I think kids today are just like moths and light Facebook and such being the light, My niece had trolling and bullying on facebook Told her to delete it,and move on. She looked at me if I was the devil. Facebook, and social networks are rather like heroin to kids. Dip in and they are lost in a world of self importance

Friday, October 12, 2012 1:16:20 PM Sad so so sad, Many kids over in Blighty are topping themselves over similar circumstances, computer savvy or not, they are still kids. They may talk the talk, but when it comes to it they are not as mentally aware as a fully grown up cant see when they are being taken for a sucker terrible, being forced to grow up way too fast nowadays |

Friday, October 12, 2012 1:08:57 PM @zombunny: I agree that children can be dumb, but there are also many studies that show teenagers are actually less optimistic about avoiding harm when engaging in risky behaviours than adults are. So I'm not sure it's fair to simply say that they are too young to know better. |

Friday, October 12, 2012 12:57:06 PM Do people just magically forget what being a teenager is like when they become adults? Am I the only one who remembers that nearly everybody did stupid crap of varying degrees in high school? A middle schooler's brain is not fully developed. Studies upon studies have shown that adolescents are notoriously bad at predicting the consequences of their own actions. It's the reason kids cut class, drink at parties, cheat on tests. Children live in the moment. They don't think about the future. To say that she should have seen it coming is unreasonable. |
