Friday, October 12, 2012 4:14:32 PM Almost everyone in my family can swim. Two of my cousins competed at the collegiate level. I live a few blocks from an olympic-sized municipal swimming pool that is primarily used by African-Americans and Puerto Ricans. I see plenty of good swimmers there... not a single white face in the bunch. Stereotype fail. |

Thursday, October 11, 2012 10:07:24 AM I think YOU'RE the ignorant, small-minded, racist. Pretty sure that doesn't make a racist. It just makes you a brain-dead @sshole! Congrats, dumb$hit! |

Wednesday, October 10, 2012 9:13:20 PM My thought was, "Look there's a really dark black guy amongst all the white people. Doesn't he stand out!" Is that racist? |

Wednesday, October 10, 2012 3:40:19 PM I graduated in 1966. It was a medium sized school and never segregated. There was one black guy in it. He wasn't athletically inclined because he was too cool (I said it was the mid 60's!) but we got along and two summers later he got me a job with his dad's night shift janitorial crew -- all black. The pic is not racist. FAIL!! |

Wednesday, October 10, 2012 1:44:56 PM More interesting is that the chick in the second row, second from the left, is actually a dude with long hair in a woman's bathing suit. |

Wednesday, October 10, 2012 5:53:57 AM @landogriffin Agreed. This has to be among the most assinine pictures posted yet. The racism lies with the poster and their choice of tag lines. What next? A picture of a white guy not jumping high? A jewish guy taking an economics class? Maybe an Asian person driving? Then you can call us all racist for your posting of the picture. It amazes me what crap will be run on here. Half of it is reposted from aeons ago and the other half is thinly veiled racism. Should change the title of the page to "I am bored so here is a picture with racial conotations" |

Wednesday, October 10, 2012 1:33:14 AM @lostinkorea... You got my vote... I agree 100... As for OLDA$$... I personally don't agree with about 90% of what he says on here... It tends to be either racist or misconstrued given his age and all... |

Tuesday, October 09, 2012 11:54:41 PM What is it that I was supposed to think that makes me racist? Is it that the black kid is in the corner, so he is being marginalized both literally and figuratively? Scanning the comments to see if I can figure it out: BLACK PEOPLE CAN'T SWIM! None of you know the "black people can't swim" stereotype? Actually, no, I did not know that stereotype. The US swim team has three outstanding black swimmers, Cullen Jones and Anthony Ervin on the men's team and Lia Neal on the women's team. Even former pro football player Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson, an all around great athlete, says he could have gone pro in soccer or swimming, the other two sports he played in addition to football, had he focused on one of those sports instead |

Some of those girls are pretty hefty to be "athletes". Maybe they compete in the harpooning competition? |

Tuesday, October 09, 2012 7:27:09 PM I was a lifeguard. The black guy who trained me to be a lifeguard said the stereotype is true, though. But it's mostly because most black people live in inner-cities where there are no good pools. He was an excellent swimmer, though. |
