Thursday, January 27, 2005 5:30:42 PM I'm with HobyAndy. Never worked for me. But reading and traveling really expanded my vocabulary and helped me become very articulate. |

Monday, January 24, 2005 4:30:51 AM I use sparknotes to bypass reading the books for English class that bore me (Wuthering Heights). The more interesting ones (1984)I actually read. I didn't use it for the SAT.In fact I didn't study for the SAT at all, I really never saw the point of memorizing a thousand words when only two of them will be on the test. And my results back that statement up. |

Sunday, January 23, 2005 10:48:16 PM i'm sure that would help a little bit, but reading real books will help it more than those books ever could. plus, it'll help you in college ;) |

Sunday, January 23, 2005 4:21:35 PM ehhh...i've tried these books before. they didn't work at all for me. plus they weren't the greatest read. however, after reading several classic novels, my verbal score spiked. go figure. |

Sunday, January 23, 2005 3:30:15 PM I used to use SparkNotes ALL THE TIME in high school. Never used it to study for the SAT, but used it all the time for English classes. |
