Sunday, October 07, 2012 10:03:07 PM Except they brought us Nickleback and Justin Bieber... And Avril, she's pretty but my goodness is she whiny now that I look back on it... But I do love Canada, just not necessarily the musicians from there haha! |

Sunday, October 07, 2012 12:18:24 PM The harvest festival in the UK is now mainly collecting food, and donating it to old folks in the shape of hampers. Usually done by schools |

Sunday, October 07, 2012 11:54:02 AM Well, jendrian, the Canadian Thanksgiving was originally a version of the European's "Harvest Festival". While it was originally - in Europe anyway - a religiously based festival, it has since shed it's more religious side and taken on most of the same traditions of it's American counterpart, the "American Thanksgiving", even holding parades, family get-togethers and football games. Best part is, being so close to the U.S. We often get the opportunity to celebrate it, twice! |

Sunday, October 07, 2012 11:38:35 AM ... don't get me wrong, I understand the whole harvest and blessings thing, but it's done around the same time as the namesake from the US with the same traditions, something's fishy. |
