It's a motorcycle for Christ sake, it's not as if anyone else is wearing a seatbelt on the thing.

@CrakrJak. I REMEMBER! when my dad got his first new car (that i was aware of), the first thing he did was cut out all the seat belts!

and smoking! when i was little and we went to the drive-in (another extinction, which is sad), my parents would dress us kids in pj's and put down the back seats in the station wagon for us. before the coming attractions were even over, the car would be filled with blue smoke, just ike a nightclub! and nobody ever complained. hell, in our neighborhood, parents and older sibs all smoked and nobody said 'boo' about it.

ahhhh, such good times.... all the more that that they're gone...

@CrakrJak
with you 100%
kids today are mollycoddled way too much,
I climbed trees,walked high walls, and was regularly chucked in the back of my old dads Ford Zodiac with didnt have belts,
I despair at them today, permanently slagging each other off on facebook, or getting all emotional because mom n dad cant afford the new iphone for them

I kind of feel sorry for kids who will never know the fun of riding in the back of a pickup truck. My parents and I drove from St. Paul to Mankato, MN to visit my brother at college. I was in the truck bed the entire way in a sleeping bag. Going under every overpass was awesome. Looking up at the night sky was also great. Good times!

"It would help if they weren't treated like precious little snowflakes and made to go outside and play instead of being babysat by mr. playstation and mrs. xbox."

Words of wisdom CJ.

There were no seat belts or child safety seats when I was a kid.

If you don't buckle in your kid or have them in a safety seat these days, they call it 'child abuse' and can take away your kids.

This is a backhanded way of calling our parents 'child abusers' and I find that BS offensive. This modern day coddling attitude has turned our kids into whining spoiled wimps.

It would help if they weren't treated like precious little snowflakes and made to go outside and play instead of being babysat by mr. playstation and mrs. xbox.

I would bet every atom that comprises my body that that image was taken in Eastern Europe. Most likely Russia, although it could be any of the slavic countries too.
