TaunJim, i did explain why i used that phrase, judging by your reaction which did include some assumptions about it being my "revenge fantasy" i'm going to say that iether it hit a raw nerve due to an experience you had or someone around you. in which case i am sorry for reminding you of that grief. i will point out that i am not that person though. Or we are dealing with a "as the host is, he treats his guests". since you linked my comment to a fantasy straight away i'm guessing the latter, i'm hoping that i'm wrong, but if i'm not then i suggest that someone in your profession should seek some advice on the matter. |

LordJim, so you prefer a logical approach, i'm getting in touch with my raw emotion, granted rape is a pretty damn nasty thing. but that is was her action was to me, probably becuase i rate emotional violence as bad as physical, but yeah, my words were crude. if you'd substitute those words for another expression could you then appreciate the frustration/ outrage behind them or does any reaction of an emotional nature qualify me as scum? |

Did anyone actually listen to the clip?
She clearly says at the start of the clip that she had spoken to the family, and that they don't expect to find her alive.
Going to the video on YouTube it clearly says in the title and the description she is breaking the news to members of the public who have volunteered.
Does it makes her any less a fool? No, but they aren't the family of the child. |

Lordjim, and how do you qualify that? this "reporter" blatently told that family without any prove that their missing child was dead. just so she could squeeze out a few tears to _sell_ the story. basicly she is making profit of other people misery, all i am saying is: what's good for the goose is good for the gander. if that makes me scum, then i am happy to be scum. actualy, thanks for the compliment! |

I personally think their reactions were inspiring, and should be the focus of the video. One of the few times I'm optimistic I suppose? However, I also agree that there was no need for that to be said. Some people just have no empathy. |
