Sunday, October 21, 2012 8:49:01 PM This is so sad. She absolutely should be able to have the right to live and work here, without all the constant hassle and expense. But, is she not allowed to apply for citizenship on her own? That seems to me to be the way to go. Maybe she has reasons why she doesn't want to become an American citizen--maybe there are serious roadblocks on that road, I don't know. |

Thursday, October 04, 2012 3:42:50 AM sr3nity, well said. And the only reason politicians wont stand up for morality is fear of losing votes and therefore their cushy jobs. |

Thursday, October 04, 2012 1:40:42 AM Sr3nity, Just because YOU don't think two adults in a loving relationship deserve the same rights as any other pair of adults in a loving relationship, maybe society will simply leave you behind... Rotting in a ditch of your own bitter, misguided, blind, and, I'm willing to bet, Bible thumping/ bigoted filth. I hope you drown in it. I hope for the sake of society at large that maggots devour your flesh while you can still feel it. May the fleas of a thousand stray dogs infest your armpits, while a Congress of baboons takes turns crushing your testicles in the hopes that you will never multiply and spread your ignorance to anybody else, you insolent turd. |

Wednesday, October 03, 2012 4:02:10 PM The idea that it should be a privilege to live within our borders is patently absurd. The state needs a compelling interest (other than "you came in and we didn't even notice") to kick people out. |

Wednesday, October 03, 2012 3:59:09 PM Every. Single. Day. All I hear is "GAY MARRIAGE, EQUAL RIGHTS, DISCRIMINATION" Just because YOU think gay relationships should have the same rights as heterosexual relationships does not mean society has to change just for you. |

Wednesday, October 03, 2012 1:41:27 PM ForSquirel, that's awful that that happened to you. I know there have been cases recently of certain people trying to prevent people from voting. In some cases, even going as far as to destroy voter registrations or to change their address so they can't vote. It's sick that this sort of thing happens in this country. |

Wednesday, October 03, 2012 12:46:25 PM "Those of you mericans who don't wanna bother voting, this is what happens when you give up the right( for any perceived reason. Your vote will matter, the tide will turn eventually. Keep at it." Funny you should mention this as well. We recently here had a vote on Amendment 1, to which me and my wife both went to to cast our vote. Now we both live in the same house, same last name, yadda yadda yadda and guess what? I wasn't even shown to be an eligible voter in my district. I had to cast a provisional, and I was told, in which my vote may or may not be counted(I had to wait a week to find out if it did). And while standing in line was conveniently being 'persuaded' to vote a certain way by the poll worker. You think our voices get heard, and you wonder why so many people don't vote on matters that they should. |

Wednesday, October 03, 2012 12:41:50 PM legalize it already.. it's not like smoking it ever did any harm to anyone.. oh wait. wrong topic. Still, though. I don't understand why we are arguing about this. isn't it time to grow up and move on. There's nothing wrong with same sex marriage. Outlawing it doesn't protect the sacred thing that is the 'American family'. It doesn't protect kids either. Look how many are born every day, every hour to families that will never love or care for them. Enough already. |

Wednesday, October 03, 2012 12:41:11 PM How is the law against civil unions allowed to pass? Me thinks the 'marriage' parts should be obsolete. Those of you mericans who don't wanna bother voting, this is what happens when you give up the right( for any perceived reason. Your vote will matter, the tide will turn eventually. Keep at it. |
