I like bats but that's pushing it >> it is hard to tell obviously but it probably is just a fruit bat, giant flying fox most likely. Those things are adorable, still wouldn't want one running into me or flying by a window in the middle of the night though. |

Bull$#!t. These bats are fruit eaters. Not a threat to anyone. These military guys probably shot it out of the air or while it was eating fruit for a decoration for their camp! |

The camera is OBVIOUSLY close to the bat and the picture seems like its huge....Otherwise that is a weird "sword" right above the bat's head when we know it's a army knife |

As Patchgrabber pointed out, it's just a perspective thing. The bat looks like it's body is the size of the guys head. Maybe a bit smaller. It has a large wingspan, but nothing like what they are claiming.

So you think that's a perspective thing? I didn't notice the knife until you mentioned it. You could be right, hard to make out the depth in this photo. Kind of looks like the bat is smoking a cigar too so good catch patchgrabber. |
