Wednesday, October 03, 2012 1:09:28 AM Yep, I should stop being such a sissy girly girl. Oops, my bad. I'm a 54 year-old granny. So shoot me. I like lavender and pink and kittens and bunnies and perfume. I long for the day that people with their demons about their own sexuality quit their worries about other people's sexuality. I mean, get over it, ya closet cases! |

Tuesday, October 02, 2012 11:40:13 AM I am a school teacher. And I actually agree. Don't be someone you're not, but ... some boys TRY as hard as they can to be as flaming gay as they POSSIBLY can. They are then being someone that they are NOT, because they are trying to hard! So stop TRYING to be as GAY as you can, just to get attention! I.E. "GLEE" |

Sunday, September 30, 2012 11:16:18 AM High schoolers like to be radical about controversial topics. I imagine the student was acting ridiculous. |

Saturday, September 29, 2012 1:19:55 AM I imagine there are a lot of gay kids with pretty high expectations of acceptance these days, and who figure everything they do or say will be tolerated in our progressive 21st century. And that's how it should be. But we're talking HIGH SCHOOL here, folks, and it just doesn't work that way. Teenagers have always been vicious. I can understand that a frustrated teacher might just say "For god's sake, Lance, can't you put a lid on it for just a minute?!" in the face of handling yet another bullying incident. Of course, it makes for awfully bad press. |

Oh No! Trouble in the land of perfection? How can they tell who is gay anyways? Everyone sounds like a homo thru a english accent. |

Friday, September 28, 2012 4:42:34 PM "Have racist schoolmates? Just grab some white face paint and put it on before heading out." That makes no sense. Mimes and clowns are not a race. Oh, wait a minute... You're not equating racism with being white, are you? |

Friday, September 28, 2012 3:18:11 PM There's "being a homosexual"... And then there's prancing about singing "Tiptoe Through The Tulips" at the top of your lungs ALLO DAY! However, it's still stupid advice. Bullies only respond to force, so fight back! Try to tell adults about it, but it's VERY likely they won't help or even care (teachers especially are immune to helping). So do it by yourself. >Find others who are being bullied and "gang together" to defend yourself. >Bullies don't NEED an excuse! They find someone defenceless and prey on them! Trying to appease them is useless. >Fight back, from Day 1, every day, until the poop hits the fan. |

Friday, September 28, 2012 2:14:10 PM Wow, all the ignorance oozing out of each and every comment here is mind boggling. They need to act just the way they want to act, and bullies need firm punishment. Period. |

Friday, September 28, 2012 2:07:38 PM Good advice. Taking being gay out of the picture, the advice could be applied to all manner of things. "I get bullied because I believe in Santa Claus." "Stop telling people you believe in Santa Claus." "I get bullied because I'm into Pokémon." "Stop bringing your Pokémon cards to school." "I get bullied because I have sweaty armpits." "Well, wear anti-perspirant." |

Friday, September 28, 2012 1:43:43 PM Do you not blame the victim who leaves the door wide open when they are not home. Also, there was no talk of "blame", just true advice on how not to be bullied. |

Friday, September 28, 2012 1:42:09 PM Well, it would work maybe. Or you can continue to shout "unfair" as you are pummeled. |

Friday, September 28, 2012 1:29:30 PM well that's obviously not the politically correct way to say it, but it make s sense. It doesn't matter who you are you have to be aware of your surroundings and act accordingly, and public school is not a good place to act gay... |
