This is hilarious! I was walking past the EBT office in Brooklyn the other day and saw these banners offering the free phone. Why do you need a cell phone for free? A home phone has been good enough for decades before mobile phones.
Then again I'm not living in a situation like hers and though she may not be as eloquent as I... she may very well need a cell phone and is thankful for having the opportunity to have some help. |

I think the program's been around since 1984. But Obama expanded it to cell phones and upped the spending to over a billion dollars.
I bet most of those cell phones are used for gun/drug sales. |
