Marlboro's are frickin expensive! I remember when you could get a pack of red's for $1.25.
Oh yeah? I remember buying cigarettes for 28 cents! The Vickers gas station on east Hampden in Denver had a machine that sold cigs for 30 cents, and there was a flat box of pennies on top. After you bought a pack, you took 2 pennies from the box. It was all on the honor system. (I smoked Camel Filters, but Marlboros were the same price.)
I actually remember walking to the corner market and buying smokes for my mom for 25 cents (she smoked L&Ms), but that was before I started smoking myself. |
