Thursday, September 27, 2012 4:58:29 PM Dogs are sweet in that as long as they can still move and aren't in much pain, they don't care what's happened to them. I don't know if I'd necessarily call it hopeful (it's not really overcoming adversity, because to him there is no adversity), but it is heartwarming. |

Tuesday, September 25, 2012 5:38:27 PM I think I am going to cry. My dog, Vespa, suffered a bulged disk in her lower spine due to being a very exuberant dachshund/beagle about two months ago and lost the use of her hind legs. She's been getting acupuncture since it was obvious the steroids she was given weren't working and, thankfully, she's almost fully regained use of her legs. She's still a little unsteady on them and she has at least one more appointment to go to, but seeing my dog walk again after two and a half weeks of worrying that the therapy wasn't working made me cry like a baby, I was so happy. When I had initially realized she couldn't walk, my heart broke. Even my boyfriend admitted he cried when he saw her dragging her back legs that first time. This video really hit home for me. I hope that wonderful boy finds the perfect family. Everyone deserves a chance. |

Tuesday, September 25, 2012 4:06:56 PM The thing that strikes me most about this lil dawg, is that none of his playmates notice or take advantage of his disability. Humans take note. |
