Tuesday, September 25, 2012 5:43:13 PM "Not something you are taught in school. I've had 2 ordained ministers tell me" Which would seem to contradict: -They had militant priests at the time who didn't need help. Those guys turned their attention to Reformation at that time and then, were themselves, Reformed. -A couple hundred years earlier, they lost control of one. You know: "Ya' can't Torquemada anything!" -Crusades? -Their history is THOUSANDS of years old. Judaism and Islam are splinters of a parent religion separated by geography and time. If you said: "Some militant priests stirred up a group of whoever against the so-and-so," maybe but, sheesh, Dude!! THAT was something you were supposed to call a guy out on. |

Tuesday, September 25, 2012 2:40:27 PM I happen to remember rememberance rallies over the deaths in Syria happening... Only the violent riots are remembered meanwhile the respectful, peaceful gatherings are passed off as non-existent because they aren't news-worthy, huh? |

Tuesday, September 25, 2012 9:19:24 AM WTF are you on about?!! Who was your history teacher? Not something you are taught in school. I've had 2 ordained ministers tell me its one of many things they are taught in seminary that is not widely known. Also you can google it and find tons of documentation about it. |

Tuesday, September 25, 2012 6:21:58 AM Its pretty sad that the Vatican created Islam in the 1600's to wipe out the Jews so they could take over Jerusalem, yet it never happened. And now it has turned into a rallying cry for some of the most heinous crimes against humanity. Way to go Christianity! LOL!! |

Monday, September 24, 2012 9:31:20 PM VV @korhan: You are full of poop. The Koran (literally the word of Allah!) tells Muslims to kill of conquer the ENTIRE WORLD until all that is left are true Muslims and those who bow before Allah (dhimidi) or die. There is NOT ONE THING that can "appease" Islam: it's all or nothing, READ Mohammed's message for yourself. idiot. |

Monday, September 24, 2012 9:21:32 PM @Solvent - Perhaps they wouldn't hate you guys so much if you'd ease up on the "We're the greatest country in the world" stuff. Sure, it's good to have pride in your country but one should also acknowledge the that no society is perfect. The US has its faults just as the rest of the world. This strip I think has more to do with religious zealots than anything though. Unfortunately, it seems that most religions are quick to declare a war if you do something they don't like. I think the only ones that have it right in that aspect are the Buddhists. Whatever is done they'd just be like, "Whatever." |

Monday, September 24, 2012 6:57:56 PM The root cause is irrelevant, those douchebags will find any reason they can to hate the greatest country on Earth. Hate isn't always rational. |

Monday, September 24, 2012 4:25:47 PM now takes no responsibility for his actions Oh right because Muslims don't have to accept criticisms and jokes about their own religion with a little grace. Right.

Monday, September 24, 2012 4:20:44 PM @blk954: He's an idiot slimeball because he KNEW damn well that his movie would result in riots causing injury and probably death (that was the point of his whole movie!) yet he released it anyway and now takes no responsibility for his actions. |

Monday, September 24, 2012 3:14:33 PM LOL - he's an "idiot slimeball" because he DARED make fun of Mohammed? SO - Seth Macfarlane is a slimeball too, correct? After all, he showed Jesus drinking in a bar and helping God pick up girls. He also showed Jesus Showering naked and when Stewie (the baby) walks in, he just looks at him (Stewie) and continues to pour water over his head in an erotic fashion. But that's ok RIGHT? HYPOCRITICAL A**HOLES!!!!! |

Monday, September 24, 2012 2:25:41 PM I'm not going to defend the stupidity of the protests, but Syria is a civil war between Muslims. The riots are over a (perceived) slight against their religion. In reality it's just an excuse for a few whackos to stir up a frenzied crowd. |

Monday, September 24, 2012 1:18:06 PM That's religion in general. If people were rational they wouldn't believe in fundamentalist religion - no matter what god or messiah is the root of it. |
