Monday, September 24, 2012 6:56:21 AM I've seen so many photos from this beach. The island is St. Martin, and there isn't an extra mile of land to share. Learn your facts before posting such stupidity |

Monday, September 24, 2012 4:24:37 AM The question is, do these people really need to be on the beach HERE? |

Sunday, September 23, 2012 11:46:57 PM @Jakk88, Hong Kong also has a higher volume of air traffic and it's $23 Billion dollar island was necessary to handle the 20 million passengers that pass through this airport yearly. St. Maarten passenger traffic is nowhere near that amount and building or extending the island would not be necessary unless there is a significant safety issue. <3 |

Sunday, September 23, 2012 10:50:20 PM "Nope, they couldn't. The island's the length of the runway..." Not exactly the length of the island, but it was about the only level land, long enough, that they could put and it has a volcano mountain in the middle of it.

Sunday, September 23, 2012 8:03:44 PM I look at the Bing Maps: the other end of the runway is also directly on the water! idk how to bring the map here, try: 18.0667 -63.0667 and look for "Simson Bay Village" to the south west... |
