Bad part of town, bad habit. We (the US) represent about 4% of the world's population. We eat about 80% of the the oxycontin. With FL dispensing about as much as the rest of the country combined. Hillbilly heroine, it's called. And for good reason.
The US also pays for almost all of the world's drug research. It's time we instituted a national formulary for all medicines bought with Medicare, Medicaid and/or other state or federal dollars, which includes our veterans and active duty hospitals. The bill is ridiculous. |
