deathcab what makes it pathetic? the only logic you could possibly be using would also have to mean tv dinners, instant boxed meals (mac n cheese, hamburger helper, etc), frozen pizzas/whatever, etc, are all things that make someone pathetic if they eat them. So why dont you go eat a dick, unless that would be pathetic too? |

The actual accoutrements may vary with relative distance to inner cities. The Carl's value burger in the 'burbs is totally more picturesque than the Carl-on-a-shingle served in inner east side. |

Food ads are like clothing ads, of course the women you see are photoshopped to the max with huge amounts of makeup, clothes will never look that good on a real person. Food is the same, think about it, fast food is just that FAST. to do a proper ad for say MacD they would need atleast 30 minutes prep time to make it look that good. Would you wait 30 minutes for a big mac? |

A big towering burger like the ones in the ads don't fit in your mouth. So, what is the first thing you do when you get them out of the box? You smoosh it down to what you see on the right, so that you can actually eat it. |

I think they picked the absolutely worst examples they could find for the 'reality' side. I've certainly ate better looking food than those shown on the reality side. |

"I wonder what the legality of it all is if the amount of meat is substantially different!" In the demo picture you are looking at the same amount of meat, but better meat and the patty is lightly seared on the outside, uncooked/frozen on the inside, not squish-fried till it's good and dead. |

Saw an entire documentary on the lengths marketing companies go to in order to make food look good. Glue in cereal, marbles in soup, fruit covered in vegetable oil, and more time spent on lighting and photoshop than a Parisian fashion show, it's pretty ridiculous. |
