Saturday, September 22, 2012 7:12:25 AM The food! The only good thing about boot camp! Those ladies behind the counter were the only ones ever allowed to smile at us. Made a HUGE difference at the end of the day when that non-nice individual behind you wouldn't stop kicking you in the heels during marches and you wanted to kill him. |

Friday, September 21, 2012 11:46:16 PM @lik: But... I expressly asked for extra cream, they always got it wrong!!! I couldn't take it! We Canadians have a combined boot camp. About 1/2 was Airforce, 1/4 Army and 1/4 Navy. We were all burning in the same hellfire! But the food was terrific! I made a tiny error: I was 143 comming out, gained 8 pounds of pure muscle! Never been as strong since, that's for sure. |

Friday, September 21, 2012 10:51:08 PM "...his first road march in full battle rattle!" I remember THAT @lostinkorea! Like the nightmare that it was! Hills + gear + FNC1A1 = kill me please! Luckily I dropped out of the AirForce before gas training day! Woo-hoo! Yes I'm a boot-camp wash-out. Hey! I was 17, 6'0" and weiged 147 pounds (135 going in, I gained 12 pounds of muscle in 7 weeks), I really should have waited another year to join... My Drill Sergent (Collins) fought at The Battle Of Kapyong in Korea. We didn't give him ANY guff! Don't Mess With The Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry! |

Friday, September 21, 2012 1:51:11 PM Well, in order to make soldiers do what they're told, they have to crack your psyche and make you into a mentally ill, emotionally dead, psychotic capable of indiscriminately killing civilians to help fill their fat corporate pockets. stay tuned kids, pretty soon those guns will be turned on us. |

Friday, September 21, 2012 12:48:43 PM There's always that one kid who cracks his mask, gets his first whiff of CS, panics and blindly sprints for the door ... only to bounce like a meat pinball off the biggest drill in the battalion who happens to be guarding it. Good times ...
