Yes - a ray or skate of some sort: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batoidea .
They can become quite tame, so become a tourist attraction such as in the photo. Most varieties are quite harmless, excepting stingrays – though sometimes the locals will unfortunately cut off their tail or stinger to make them safe to handle. |
