I was amused that they told you how to blow people off, like leaving two cents as a tip when the service is really bad, or telling someone who's trying to sell you a religion that you believe in God "only on Tuesdays and Thursdays." |

The peace sign reversed thing dates back to bows & arrows times in England. It's basically telling the other person that you'll cut those two fingers from their hand, preventing them from using their bow & arrow. Saw it on Discovery Channel or was is History? |

The inverse peace sign is a European and Australian thing as far as I know. I think Bush Sr. once visited Australia and gave a backwards peace sign by mistake and inadvertently offended a lot of people. |

Wow, I'm American and I didn't even know some of that. Hmm. Maybe it's 'cause I'm 15...I thought it was cool that they explained the stereotypes and how most American's aren't ass****s. |

I'm sure there are sites out there on how to gesture-insult anyone in any country...I think this site is a good review for most of us in the U.S.... reminders of common curtesies... thou there shoulda been a section on hygiene.
