Quick summary - 9/11 happens and people just want to get the hell off of Manhattan. Boats were the first thing they saw. Every type of boat helped evacuate people, nobody cared where the boat was headed. For the first time in a century, boats were the only way on and off of Manhattan. THat's basically it. |
