Wednesday, September 12, 2012 6:18:09 AM @ emmettyville Are you really going there? Conspiracy theorists will always believe that the government was involved in spite of the fact that WE ALL SAW THE PLANES HIT THE BUILDINGS! And in spite of the fact the Al Qaeda TOOK FULL RESPONSIBILITY! But of course we all know that Osama bin Laden must have been paid by the U.S. government to take the blame since he's been a puppet of the U.S. government for years anyway, right? Do us all a favor and stay away from the kool-aid, okay? |

Wednesday, September 12, 2012 6:11:02 AM The 'mountain' is one of those small molehills of coincidence so beloved by people who think that the trails left by airplanes are poison, mountain dew shrinks testicles and everything is owned by satanists and the KKK. So, not so much. |

Tuesday, September 11, 2012 11:07:58 PM americans dont care about dead indians or el salvadorians, or anything else....the real tragedy here is that most of you fools still beleive it was a terrorist attack, despite the MOUNTAIN of evidence to the contrary. And the fact this was perpetrated by your government has allowed a multitude of laws to be passed to generally f uck up your government and laws and your personal freedoms. please visit infowars.com and wake the hell up. for christs sake someone post loose change 2 gain, and open some eyes already. jeez... |

Tuesday, September 11, 2012 7:57:13 PM @marcus2: "He didn't say that we should care about disasters in other countries, he was merely saying that, for some reason... ...and possibly worse, disasters." Okay, I'll give you that one, even though I think it's much more natural to be concerned about the deaths of people from the same culture as you, that could easily have been you. No, I'm not saying that the lives of the murdered are more important or valuable than those killed in natural disasters, but it certainly is more SHOCKING when people are ending thousands of human lives on purpose. Basically my point is this: an earthquake isn't a crime against humanity, mass murder certainly is. And a crime against humanity is something definitely worth crying over. (also, it's not relevant to my argument, but I'm from Northern Virginia and do know many people directly affected by the attack) |

Are you saying that the deaths of innocent people, killed in natural disasters, are less important/valued than the deaths of those who died in a terrorist attack? Regardless of how they're killed, they were innocent. @Marcus2 I'm not saying that the deaths of those who died in an earthquake are less important than those who died in the terrorist attacks but it's apples and oranges. We erect monuments and memorials not only as reminders of those who were lost, but as reminders to strengthen our resolve against allowing it to happen again. I'm not certain of the exact quote but it goes something like this: Those who don't heed the mistakes of history are doomed to repeat them. There's nothing we can do to prevent a natural disaster but we can take precautions against terrorists. Also, it's stupid to suggest we weren't affected because we didn't know the victims. We certainly knew our kids who've died in the war that followed. |

Tuesday, September 11, 2012 2:58:20 PM @gary8162 and mrheadless Are you saying that the deaths of innocent people, killed in natural disaters, are less important/valued than the deaths of those who died in a terrorist attack? Regardless of how they're killed, they were innocent. And @mrheadless He didn't say that we should care about disasters in other countries, he was merely saying that, for some reason, people care about a lot about 9/11 (even though it didn't affect them) but they don't care about other, and possibly worse, disasters. |

Tuesday, September 11, 2012 1:09:22 PM I think its lame he decided to use earthquakes as comparisons, natural disasters killing a lot of people accidentally isn't the same thing as PEOPLE killing people ON PURPOSE. I also think it's funny that he said if you don't live in NY or VA you shouldn't care, but then complains that people should care more about disasters in other countries. That seems pretty hypocritical to me. Also, i can think of a much better answer than airport delays, "It really shook me that somebody in the world would want to MURDER 3000 people /just like me, from my culture/." This guy didn't make a single valid point, in my opinion. |

Tuesday, September 11, 2012 1:17:42 AM Hey! Dickhead! The earthquakes were natural disasters! They weren't caused by a terrorist act, you moron. Yeah, I remember where I was on 9/11 but I also remember thinking then how it would directly affect me AT THAT TIME. My daughter was in high school back then and I knew we would be getting into a long, drawn out war with terrorism. I knew that my daughter and/or some of her friends might be joining the military soon and some might not come home from that war. I remember explaining that to her that day. I remember her crying as she came to realize just how close to home this really did hit and still would hit. I remember the mood of the country that day, the mood of the town I live in. I remember it all. And so Mr. Buckley, don't presume to think you have your finger on the pulse of the nation, you ass-hat. I remember. I'll never forget. |

Monday, September 10, 2012 5:21:32 PM wow. Kennedy choking on a bullet? What's next - doctoring the video of Daniel Pearl getting his head cut off while still alive? It absolutely frightens me how desensitized people are becoming to violence nowadays. I wasn't around for Kennedy's assassination but I still think it's horrible.

Monday, September 10, 2012 4:31:00 PM He may have been douchey about it, but he's kind of right. 364 days of the year I don't think about it at all. If it personally affected you I can understand, but the rest of us can go ahead and get over it. |
