Sunday, September 16, 2012 11:02:54 AM @simbha Two reasons come to mind: 1) Isn't that sort of the nature of a "fan film"? To pay homage to the original? Wouldn't you want your fan film to meld into the mythos and universe you are contributing to? 2) Because Peter Jackson freaking NAILED the characters, why would anyone want to try to "improve" them (not to mention the risk of failing miserably)? |

Sunday, September 16, 2012 4:18:05 AM It's good - very good, in fact. The one thing that bothered me was the adherence to the characters' looks from the Peter Jackson film. These filmmakers obviously have the talent to create something wondrous - so why restrict themselves in this way? |

Saturday, September 15, 2012 10:20:07 AM So, this is the "story" of Aragorn's father, eh? Interesting. I'll have to give it a watch when I have an hour to do so. |

Saturday, September 15, 2012 10:04:15 AM Wow I'd almost forgotten this, came out three or four years ago. Same people did The Hunt for Gollum, which is also quite good for a low budget DIY feature. |
